P.M.S. causes me to be enraged...

Right before my "time", like a couple of days before, I get INSANELY angry over stupid things, I can hardly stand to go in public without wanting to do bodily harm to innocent bystanders, I feel like STEAM is shooting out of my ears and my eyes are firin' lazors.

Then, then NEXT day, I am calm, benevolent, looking at the world with new eyes, and love everyone.

Does anyone else have this??? And what do you recommend? It's EVERY month.

I already have kind of an anger issue, but the hormones exacerbate it.

I wish there was a pill that I could take that made me feel like that first half of a margarita does...

Yes, I had years of this type of PMS.

I used to call it "my dangerous mood".My poor husband was so happy to see menopause finally hit.

I've had several friends with the same type of day before/day after mood change.

Whether we remain ash or become phoenix is up to us.

Me too.

They seem to be worse since D-day. I know it's coming, I warn everyone, I get ready for it -- say to myself "you know it's coming. Don't kill anyone. Keep it together. Then BAM!!! My inner Sybil is let out.

Oh God, I hope someone can give us a clue!!!!!!

My poor dd always knows...She says,"You are having PMS, aren't you."

I guess the solution is to plan for it, and make sure I just STAY HOME those couple of days. It would lessen the risk of me going to jail for assault!

hmmm...worth looking into! Because I can't very well drink wine all day the day before...although that surely helps.

I would think my glowering stare is a pretty good warning...especially when I am wearing my tee from my TKD school, lol, and all my tattoos are showing...

I HATE being this way, I have seen in other people how they look when they are angry vs when they are smiling, and wow, what a difference.

Totally with you on this bandwagon.

My ex was subjected to two days of tearful ranting/venting last month while I gripped about my current FWSO.

I mean it's BAD!!! I cry, scream, rage, throw things... and I know logically what it is, but can't stop it.

I HATE it!

I can relate; I was positively homicidal at that time of the month. I no longer have to worry about this, and I found out too late that this is more than PMS; I believe it's called PMDD, and there is now medication for it.

Yes, it is called PMDD- - believe it stands for premenstual dysphoric disorder and there are meds- I take 50mg of sertraline and it really works for me. I was a raving lunatic a couple days before my cycle each month (airborne coffee mugs) and now I am very even keeled.

I suggest going to someone who practices Traditional Chinese Medicine like an acupuncturist or a TCM trained herbalist. They have specific protocols that are really effective for handling this pattern. There is no reason to suffer through this. They would call it Liver Qi Stagnation. Seriously the TCM people have the cure for this one down.

Actually PMS helps me quite a bit because I could be pissed off about something for quite a while, and when I am PMSing, I will actually SAY what is on my mind, maybe not tactfully, but PMS is the perfect time for a Wal-Mart clerk to smart off to me. It's like hormones push the words right outta my mouth.

There is also the other kind of PMS which I don't value nearly as much. I am definitely a female, but not the type who cries easily or watches the lifetime channel etc. i find if I am not pissed off angry during PMS, I will totally "Chicken Little" things to death. "The sky is falling! The sky is falling! Oh woah is me, the sky is falling!" And things that are upsetting because totally crazy upsetting, and I will cry fucking buckets.

I have found both of these to become WAY, WAY less symptomatic though, since going off birth control. I simply do not need to be mixing hormones with my hormones.

Channel that PMS productivity into martial arts or something. you could scare the hell outta some men.

I actually...kind of enjoy being on my period.

It makes me really creative and able to put things into words that I can't quite catch at other times.

chiming in, cuz I get this way too, and I've started back taking an OTC called Estroven. It takes a couple of months to have any affect, but I started it back up a couple of months ago and I can start to see a difference already. I get it at Wal-mart in their pharmacy/healthcare section. It's not hormones, like you'd get from the DR, it's natural and enhanced with vitamins.

I used to take it several years ago, but when I got kidney stones, I took myself off them thinking I was getting to much of something, only to find out my stones were because I didn't drink enough...

The bitchiness has become so noticable again that I decided to start taking it again and it does seem to be working...I don't bite everyone's head off

OMG! An "INSANELY angry", PMSing, TKD blackbelt, with EMT training?

You should have your own comic book, or something. "TKD", you do NOT want her taking YOUR name.
