I saw an advertisement on television last night for a vibrator and it was named V'lane

Really?

See...it's not just us that are fans of the smut.

13 years later...finally healed. Definitely survived and thrived and you can, too.

I simply must know *what* Barrons is.

I know what he isn't.. and it seems like she is leading up to telling us.. but I'm dying to know what he is and what he is all about!!

Don't tell me.. just tell me she does eventually expain his story!!

Not yet, dammit.

Because romance novels are about antici...pation. Not payoff. Dumb boy porn is about moneyshots. Awesome girl porn is about making you WAIT.

So join the crowd of waitresses!

It nagged him, in particular, that none of the girls he’d known so far had given him a sense of unalloyed triumph.

Honestly, I'm almost afraid to find out what he is.

Because I don't think anything can measure up to the build up and what my mind is trying to imagine.

I mean, I'm thinking worse than Lucifer, right? Like even Lucifer stains his undies when Barron walks in...

I'm not sure that it's going to work for me and I'm a little nervous.

I think we're getting damn close to finding out, though, the way the last one ended and all.

Where I am, I had a hunch.. but there's no way she's dragged it out this long.

Le sigh.. this is going to be a loooong wait.

Well, you KNOW but you don't really know the specifics of why he is...I don't know if that makes any sense at all.

You know one thing that he is, but you don't know what else he is, or what else he's not.

You also don't know why he is that one thing that you know that he is, who else if anyone is a similar thing, etc.

We need a spoiler thread for this. I suppose I could wander on over to some actual like fandom boards but that would require me to establish a relationship with new bitches and I'd rather leverage my relationship with you bitches.

Thoughts? Because I don't want to spoil meta but I have *THINGS TO SAY*.

Ok, here are some random observations that I hope aren't so obvious as the eternal is he or is he not the UK etc question.

1. I feel that Barrons responds quite...strongly to the idea of rape. When she accuses him of metaphorical rape he goes off on her about it. Some of his flashbacks have you behind his eyes as he considers the violence in front of him and notes that he has already raped that woman, and now she's watching him kill her husband. What's up with that?

2. When she's in his memories, she's in his Beastform memories, right? I hope he wasn't in that form when he got all rapey.

3. The Book is a Beast and Barrons is a Beast. Do we really have two different entities that are capitalized Beasts here? If so that is tacky.

4. If *I* was a book, I'd want to be *read*.

5. Are there really all sorts of different magical cuffs out there or are the cuffs Barrons and his dudes wear somehow similar to the Cuff of Cruce that V'lane tries to give her? Do these not come off, either?

6. What is the superfast shadow thing that is whipping around the church when Dani gets there to rescue her?

7. What is up with the sentient shade?

8. What is up with dreamy-eyed guy? Surely he's the 4th rapist, right? Is he also a fourth form the Book takes? His reflection in the mirror tells her not to talk to "it," and seems to be referring to himself. Or, alternately, someone could be skinriding him. Surely if you introduce a type of fae that slips into other people's skin, at some point you must actually have to *deal* with that situation, in order to not violate Chekhov's pistol rule.

Ugh, just visited her forums and read the horrifying suggestion that he's a vampire.

Four days ladies!

Re-read complete, also wondering if perhaps Barrons' horrible temper isn't going to be cured. Like, it's part of a curse, or Curse of Cruce if that's what's going on. The internal struggle with rage he seems to deal with 24/7 may be connected to the Beast thing inside of him, and I kinda think that's what's going to be cured.

This makes me has a sad because I like his terrible temper. It's like 2/3 of his personality. The other 1/3 of his personality is about being a badass and cursing a lot. I don't want to see those things go away either.

I wonder what the box is. The Unseelie Hallow, I mean. It was created by the UK for the consort to help "with her loneliness." How did a box help with her loneliness? I suppose you could put 9 hot guys in it and she wouldn't be lonely anymore. Seems like the UK wouldn't do that though.

It nagged him, in particular, that none of the girls he’d known so far had given him a sense of unalloyed triumph.

We don't get it here until the 18th

I was going to pre order it online tonight but then I'll just get it even later because there was no pick up in store option. So I would have to wait for shipping. And I don't wait well.

Ack.. I think I just made my first argument for the Kindle. I could download it the minute it came out. (You can do a little dance now Kdny )

I haven't been able to picture Barrons as anything but the pirate/Oakridge boy LadyV. It's that or faceless. I even tried picturing other faces for him, but nope.. the suggestion was already there
