He might have gotten it from Dora. He doesn't watch the show that often but he LOVES Diego, so it's very possible. That never even occurred to me!

It's so cute when they are communicating, but mixing up the verbs.

I like having the toddler around with the older two, because he is my little spy. They'll all be playing in the basement and he'll come up saying, "Sissy and brother fight!" or "Brother messy!" It's great!

Diego! My girl loves Diego so much, I had to buy her boys' underwear because they don't make Diego panties for girls!

ZOMG! ZOMG! He's started potty-training! Just earlier today, he pulled down his diaper, sat on the toy toilet, and... Should I be this excited about my child learning how to use the bathroom? But he just- did it! We didn't push him, no hesitation on his part.

I wonder if weaning will go this smoothly...

Ds(2) has started to use the potty. He came running over to me the other day saying "come mommy". He took me to the bathroom where he sat on his potty, fully dressed, and proudly announced "I peed!". When I said he had to take off his pants and pull up he said "no mommy, all done".

Dd(4) was outside with wh playing in the snow. She knows how to make snow angels. This time she dropped to her knees then laid back in the snow shouting "look daddy, snow bell".

Broevil made brownies with DS3. Later he was running around the house yelling I want hash browns, I want hash browns. I kept correcting him saying they are brownies, they are brownies. I can wait until he tells the ladies at kiddie care that he made hash brownies with mamma.

Hash browns!!! Ha! I love the combo-words!

We have "orna-mint" when something's minty, and she has a "pochahonta-dot" dress. I kid you not.

Nothing nearly as hilarious or confusing as your hoashbrownies though...

We're watching "Blues Clues". I think Lil Silver gets it, because whenever he sees one he points at the screen and yells, "cwue! cwue!" before even the studio audience kids say it. Scary, I look at videos when he was still too young to talk!

DS4 has been sick all week. At the moment he's got a very congested cough and a snotty nose. He hates blowing it and it's at that cruddy-you-gotta-dig-it-out stage.

The kids are at the table eating and every couple minutes I hear DD scream, "Ewwwwww! Moooommmm!" And DS giggles hysterically.

He's tilting his head back and showing of his snot buildup.

Boys.

Not on this thread much but just wanted to stop in. Dd will be 2 in less than 2 months! She is currently obsessed with barney, totally old school but he is prevalent on netflix. I picked up a couple barneys at a local thrift store. One is huge and she carries him around and makes him sit at the table for lunch. He sits on the dresser when she goes to bed and says "night barney" so darn cute! No surprise she is getting a barney themes bday party.

Speaking of boogers. On the way to the gym tonight, I was having a boogers conversation with my DS4 and DD4. DS4 pipes up and says "I sometimes put boogers in my pockets!".

Well since we're on the subject of boogers....

DS2 likes to stick his finger in his nose then hold up the finger for a kiss. I'm onto his tricks, but he can usually catch my H unaware and get him to kiss the booger finger. Then he says, "Ha ha ha". Just like that, doesn't actually laugh just says ha ha ha.

We BBQ'd hotdogs for dinner. (sidenote - Oscar Meyer makes preservative free hotdogs! No nitrates or nitrites! I digress...)

Had carrots and broccoli and scalloped potatoes alongside. DD (almost 3!) eats all of it, then looks up at me and says, "Mama, may I pees have breakfast now? Blueberry pancakes."

Growth spurt?

Just needed to bump this up from Page 7!!

My baby girl is almost 20 months (yes, she's still a baby ) and she's just so wonderful. It's such a joy to watch her grow! Couldn't be happier.

P.S. Can you tell I'm a first time middle-aged mom?

I belong here as well as any clubs from baby (just turned 1) to teen almost adult (just turned 17). I just had to post about the boogers. My dad heard a joke that he loves to tell about kids and boogers. He normally tells this as we remind our 4 year old daughter not to eat hers.

What is the difference between boogers and broccoli?

Kids won't eat broccoli! LOL.

IM from Crazz as I'm at work today and he's home with sick Vrazz:

C: Boog has instructed me not to EVER whistle around you because it makes you sad.

J: True dat. It hurts my earseses.

C: Also, she wants you to know that she has a smooth beard, and by that she means she has NO beard. Her chin is smooth. She told me to tell you.

J: That's also true.

C: Man, now she's really laying into me for whistling. I can't do it around you or her OR the dogs. Jeez! :)
