Please send mojo, prayers, whatever you have.
I have Mastitis and will be seeing a surgeon in two days, if it isn't dramatically better. I HATE going under and I HATE being cut.
This is a chronic issue stemming from an autoimmune disorder. I've had the surgery before- about three years ago and I DON'T want to have to do it again. It took me the better part of a year to heal from that. (That's a year of dealing with oozing and dressings and staining everything I have- again!) The pain and recovery time will be far less if it starts to resolve in the next couple of days.
And DD's 14th birthday is on Sat.
So, I really don't want to be laid up post-surgery and miss celebrating with her.
Any spare mojo you might have would be greatly appreciated.

Sending lots of mojo.
I hope it gets better so you don't have to have the surgery.
DS, you are forever in my heart. Thank you for sharing your beautiful spirit with me. I will always try to live by the example you have set. I love you and miss you every day and am sorry you had to go so soon, it just doesn't seem fair.

Thanks, y'all!
Pain meds are kicking in, so I'm feeling a little better and a little worse. My pain has eased, but my brain seems to have taken a vacation. In the space where it once resided, there's nothing but dizziness. I think I need to nap a little and sleep this off, a bit.

Feel better soon.

Feel better soon. That's no fun at all. Are you seeing a general surgeon, if so I would strongly recommend a breast surgeon. I would also ask about negative pressure wound therapy. That's an extremely long time to deal with a wound and dressing changes.
Mojo prayers and healing thoughts headed your way.

Well, the antibiotics seem to be working- inflammation is down today. My stomach is NOT happy with the antibiotics. I was up all night trying not to barf. It doesn't help that the pain meds make me really dizzy and I hate that, too.
It's a little early to say this, but I'm thinking I won't be having surgery this week. I probably will soon, though, because the problem keeps coming back.
Once I'm off of these meds, I'm going to try turmeric because I've heard a LOT of great things about it and it has helped a lot of people like me. I just can't stomach it right now with these other meds.
Thanks for all of the mojo!! It seems to be working!

OK. MAYBE I can avoid surgery this week while we wait and see how much the antibiotics help. I'm still in a bit of pain and the inflammation seems to be at a stand-still. I hope not.
Trying to stay away from the pain meds because they make me feel really icky. So do the antibiotics, but I have no choice but to take those.

Have you tried cherry juice too? It's supposed to be a really good anti-inflammatory. Good luck.

Try ginger (yogi makes a really nice ginger lemon tea) for the nausea. I drink a few cups of it a day whenever I'm on antibiotics.

Cherry juice? I had never heard of using that- or maybe I HAD, but just didn't realize it. My grandmother had Lupus and would always put it in milkshakes (YUM!).
I'm doing better with the nausea. I find that peppermint works really well for me with nausea.
