Pictures? Well...

If my mind could take pictures

to give to all I know,

I'd print the early morningsongs of new day dawning's show.

Before a bird's eye opens

before their song is heard,

a magical silence is singing outside,

for that,

I can't find a word...

but

a black and white for tentacles

clutching icily to the trees,

or a color print for the brilliant sunrise which exists I'm sure,

only to please...

I'll probably go to a nuthouse

for ranting and raving 'fore dawn,

or

keep clicking along,

singing my song,

laughing wildly on somebody's lawn...

Pictures - those incriminating incriminators! will be along soon...

(wish you were here!)

jj, what a beautiful way to start the morning! Don't go getting arrested on any lawns.... although THAT would be a great story!

I will toast a glass in the direction of Texas tonight.

Casa Maria is where I get my carne asada fix when I'm in town.

We're dropping the kids off with FIL right now and then we'll be making our way down there. I expect to hit the Pecan Street area sometime between 11:30 and noon. wounded and inconnou both have my cell if there's an update I need to know about, otherwise I'll text when we park and hike in.

First time in three weeks I've put on makeup, people. THIS IS ALL CRAZY.

Oh, boy, y'all...we had a bunch of fun today. (And maybe just a few beers.) We walked the Pecan Festival and had lunch on 6th Street. Afterward, we decided to walk a few blocks to a pub. Halfway there we got caught in a huge downpour. I swear I was looking for the funnel cloud!

We finally arrived at the pub soaked to the bone, looking like some sort of rejects from a really bad wet T-shirt contest. It was seriously a lot of rain. Despite being wet, we had a great time sampling beers at the pub.

We ended our night at a funky hot dog place where they were having an 80s music night. We sang along to Depeche Mode and The Cure. OK...only some of us sang along.

We had so much fun that we're fixin' to meet up again in the morning for some breakfast.

Wine-cicle?

Yes. Sangria. Must be 21 to buy. They had at least one other flavor, too.

At picture time, she was asked, I kid you not, "Hold up your awesome deliciousness."

At breakfast, after placing a plate of french toast ala mode in front of Inconnu, the waiter innocently asked "Do want some butter for that?"

If you thought that would be the funniest breakfast moment, you would be wrong.

I observed the expression as WB2 took her first bite of pumpkin french toast and migas. Apparently, it was amazing.

A few seconds later, JJCT asked how it was, but her mouth was full, so I answered "She's going to need a cigarette after that."

He fell over laughing.

Did I mention the food was really good?

Take care of yourself. There's a great future out there. It won't come to you; you have to go to it.

"Do want some butter for that?" Started it.

I lost it right there. It looked like the biggest butter dollop I have ever seen!

I was just composing myself when TH said the cigarette thing. It was really over then...

my stomach hurts!

Didn't make it to the Texas Craft Brewer's Festival, but we ended up having a few choices at The Ginger Man

I learned I like Pecan Porter.
