If you master the French Braid you'll be ahead of me...
But then, I have a boy and no girls to practice on.
I can't do my own... never could.

Good job dlmos. I would expect nothing less from you though. You are a good daddy.
Did you see the video of the dad who used a vacuum cleaner to fix his daughter's ponytail? It was the cutest thing.
No one changes unless they want to. Not if you beg them. Not if you shame them. Not if you use reason, emotion, or tough love. There is only one thing that makes someone change: their own realization that they need to.

Awesome job there Dad...my exH was always better at doing my daughter's hair than I was...he'd sit for ages and braid, roll it up, sort it out for her.....
She loved that "Daddy" did her hair....

Another easy fix is sponge curlers. The things cost something like $3.99 for a pack of 12, and they're usually sold by the hair bands and brushes. When her hair is wet, put a small spritz of hair gel on each lock and roll it up into one of the curlers. She can sleep in them pretty comfortably. In the morning, slowly unwind the curler and voila! Bouncy, curly hair. On a little girl, you really can't go wrong with this. Hedgehog wants hair like mine (natural spiral curls) but she only has the merest wave to her hair. We've been practicing this throughout the summer and we've got it down to an art. In 10 minutes she's got curlers in and wakes up with the cutest mop of curls in the morning. Piece of cake!
