DS...if Mr. Slithers hasn't eaten you yet he's not going to.

This thread is making my days by providing TONS of laughter

It tells you something when your dogs aren't even afraid of Mr. Slithers.

k9...

Laughing at me is NOT helping the situation

I'm obsessed with looking outside...I'm pretty sure Mr. Slithers is watching me too. It's like he knows when I go outside to just show up and scare the shit out of me!

Tushnurse...I loved your story...that was an excellent visual!!

So our exterminator came out (regular treatment) and said that Snake Away is the best product out there to get rid of snakes. He said to NOT give him an exit out of the fountain area. He told me to spread it all the way around and it will make Mr. Slithers want to leave and not come back if he doesn't have a way back without crossing over it again.

He's as scared of snakes as I am I just ordered it off of Amazon and it will be here on Wednesday.

BYE BYE Mr. Slithers!!!! And don't come back!

An exterminator that is afraid of snakes????Guess it's a good thing the houses in texas don't have crawl spaces. LOL

That's kinda like the one exterminator that we work with, he doesn't like bees or things that sting. So we get to go do all the yellow jacket, ground hornet, and honeybee calls.

Oh, now that's funny

And once again...that SOB was on the patio last night

This time MH saw him and said "ok, he is a big snake" HA! I wasn't exaggerating!!!

Because of my pre-planning I had already put the machete on the porch by the back door yesterday afternoon so all MH had to do was grab it and slowly walk towards Mr. Slithers...MH came back inside to put his shoes on

The way Mr. SLithers was positioned around my ferns and flower pots it made it hard to get an angle to whack him so I suggest my pepper spray to stun him ...after MH picked himself up off the ground from laughing at me...I then suggested wasp spray because you can shoot it from like 20ft away...he ROTFL at that suggestion too.

So today, I'm clearing out everything on the patio and patiently waiting for my Snake Away.

I couldn't even sleep last night

Too funny. He's just warming his tummy on your nice patio. Instead of a machete you should use the midwestern version of a snake killer, an Ice Chopper, it is a heavy Garden tool on a post that has flat blade on the bottom for cracking ice when it forms on sidewalks. You then sharpen that edge just like you would the lawnmower blades, and voila instant snake chopper. My Gran kept one inside her front door, my whole life. She felt like you, and her theory was "The only good snake is a dead snake".

This would be an absolute disaster in my house. The only thing my husband is as afraid of as I am is snakes. We'd have to make one of the kids get it. Or move. Preferably move.

Our new cottage has tons of water snakes . I literally got out of the boat to walk up to the front door for the very first time, looked down and there was a snake. . Nice welcome.

Luckily my brother is some sort of weird feral alpha woods boy. He always has been. He heard me holler, came down to the dock in (I kid you not) a pair of boxer shorts with Homer Simpson on them, a bright orange hunting hat with furry ear flaps and nothing else but a beer in his hand. He picked it up with the other hand, and walked it to the other side of the island mumbiling "Don't be scared little friend, my sister is crazy".

Go softly my sweet friend. You will always be a part of who I am.

Tushnurse...that's my theory too...a dead snake is the only good snake in my book.

I know others feel differently, but they don't understand the deep fear I truly have

Please don't kill Mr. Slithers.

Do you have a neighbor that can come and get him and move him?

He's really helping you out by being there to control the rodents. And as soon as he eats them all, he'll leave.

Please don't kill him.

K9....

MH really doesn't want to kill him...he'd rather relocate him in the woods down the street.

I'm going to work on the patio/fountain area today, clearing out any hiding places...the Snake Away will be here tomorrow, so hopefully that will push him out. If not, then MH has two choices...catch it and relocate it or kill it. I cannot live being this scared and feeling like a prisoner in my own home.

I love animals...I just want him to go away
