I've had it all GYN related…and from what you described, that sounds like what I was going through before the last ovarian cyst.
Like Ama, I had 1/3 of my cervix removed due to "carcinoma in situ", then had the babies with lots of problems in-between with PCOS and endometriosis and lots of ovarian cysts that caused surgeries and for me to lose an ovary at 28. After second child was born, there was unexplained heavy bleeding and pain. "Oh…you are just post partum!!" 5 months of that mess before I had an ultrasound, and found a massive complex cyst, and another bad pap…I had a total hysterectomy a few days later. I was 36 at the time.
Ahhhhh. Best thing I ever did.
Hang in there, I know it is scary.

TIKY - The best present I ever gave myself was a hysterectomy at 31. I had both kids luckily evidently, the issues I had progressed and worsened after. Adenomiosis, and a few ovarian cysts, and those suckers will cause abdominal pain that comes and goes as hormones fluctuate. PCOS - with peri-menopause = unpleasant times. LOL.
Talk to your Dr about things, and even if the PAP is normal which mine always were it can gte to a point where it effects your quality of life, bleeding 20 out of 28 days, being anemic, on and on.
Talk to your Dr, and take a deep breath.

I'm back from the Dr.!! I'm good, she says. My blood pressure is down, blood work all looks OK...
She said my problems are likely perimenopause. She's going to go ahead and schedule a pap, though, in Jan. She assured me that what happened to my H's Co-worker's W was exceptionally rare and helped ease my mind a bit on that.

That's the part that sent me into freak out mode!!
I rarely get cold, but when I do, my Raynaud's acts up something fierce!! I've been sleeping with the window open in my bedroom, even when it gets down in the 20s!! I feel bad for my H, but I STILL wake up just roasting.
I'm relieved, for now, but not looking forward to riding this out for five or six years.
I think I already have a least a year under my belt!
She talked about low dose birth control to manage symptoms, but I'm one of those "med-resistant" patients- I REALLY don't want to take a med unless I absolutely have to take one because I've just experienced a snowball effect (one med leads to another to treat side effect from first med, on and on...)too many times and ended-up having a bowl full of pills for breakfast. So, I do everything I can to avoid that.

ROTFLMAO....
SO TRUE! Gah.................<<<<<<<<<<
I managed it with a couple of years of an excellent herbal supplement that had black cohosh and stuff in it. (Estrologic I think it was called.)
Worked like a charm and it's been years now since things levelled off.
Just today I was booking a pap and the nurse was saying "well the doctor likes to schedule it around the midpoint of your cycle". I just hooted at her and we had a good laugh about that.
The only cycle FF has these days is down in the garage waiting for the next sunny day.
LOL
