If you could go anywhere, where would it be and why?

DH and I are thinking about where to go on our (little bit late) honeymoon. He has travelled the world but travel is new to me. Where would you want to go?

I would go back to Paris. Right now. I would get up from my desk and go home for my passport and go to the airport. Bye!

I also love Mexico.

But, our next trip is likely to be taking the kids to some Caribbean destination, and hopefully DH and I will be going to Germany in the next couple of years.

I've never been, but it is my dream to go to Bali and stay in one of those huts over the water with the glass floors. It looks like heaven to me.

I'd pick Ireland/Scotland combo. Just because I've always wanted to go there, dream trip, etc.

Some other places I'd like to visit:

Alaska

Hawaii

Greece

Italy

Germany

England

NYC

Yellowstone

Grand Canyon

Among others. I want to travel extensively but haven't yet.

Have fun!!

We're going to Venice, Pisa, and Milan next week and I can't wait. In July, when my in-laws visit, we're heading back to Italy to see Rome. If my mom makes it over here before we PCS we want to go on a Baltic cruise to Scotland, Ireland and Iceland.

Other than Europe, I want to go somewhere tropical. I'm not picky where, just a place I can relax on a beach and do nothing.

Bora Bora

I always wanted to go there.

Second choice might be the Maldives. I work with a fellow who is going there in a couple of weeks on his honeymoon. I am jealous!

You can do an Ireland vacation where the first few nights are in a quaint little cottage. The next few nights are in a big bed and breakfast type thing. The last few nights are in a castle. It's a really awesome vacation.

Of all the places I've actually been...

I'd go back to London, England. I'd love to see it again as an adult. We went as a school trip when I was a Junior in HS.

Places I've never been would be Tahiti or Bora Bora or Australia.

So far, in the summer I like Montana. (Specifically Glacier National Park). The rest of the time? Cozumel.

ETA: You asked why... I thought Glacier was absolutely gorgeous. I couldn't get enough pictures or explore enough. Hiking and white water rafting were a blast.

Cozumel, it was warm, the beaches were beautiful. We didn't get to spend near enough time there.

Yes this is true. Where I live we have about 6 of them. Don't forget the spiders too.

We do have nice stuff too though.

My dream holiday would be a safari in Africa. It's on the bucket list.

I'm with newlease and some of the others - my absolute dream would be Tahiti, Bora Bora, or Bali in a private hut out over the water.

Favorite places I've actually been - Greece (I studied abroad there and was fortunate enough to visit many places there). And I've been all over the caribbean, and some of my favorite picks are the Cayman Islands, St. Kitts, Dominica (great for Eco-tourism), and St. Thomas.

I would suggest going through a travel agent, but there are a few companies that offer vacation packages like that.
