Now you guys have me reminiscing about middle school (no parents involved)

We had a nice family night at the theater and saw Airplane! I happened to be sitting between my Mom and my lil sister when Elaine had to reinflate the automatic pilot.

When I was college age my mom took me to see the movie "Sliver". It looked like a thriller movie which it was but.... There was a very explicit sex scene with Sharon Stone and William Baldwin. A little doggy style if you will. Yikes, without the internet back in the day I didn't realize it was NC-17 originally with just a little "cut" to get to R.

Mine isn't *that* kind of inappropriate...mine is more, "I grew up in the 80's, when Freddy, Jason and Poltergeist were popular," inappropriate. I was forced to watch those movies when I was, I shit you not, 4 and 5 years old It's no wonder I was afraid of the dark Now, though, I love scary movies...but I don't watch those movies with the kids around. Although, the other night, American Pie (the original) just happened to be on and Do3K started watching it. Good thing our bedroom door was closed

I took my grandmother out to lunch and a movie one day, and we just picked a movie from the list at the box office. We chose the General's Daughter. I had to sit through a brutal rape scene right out of the gate with my sweet, tiny old Mema watching right next to me. I think I was around 18.

My dad and I used to sneak-watch South Park on TV when I was like 15 or so, (it premiered when I was a freshman in high school) because my mom hated it and thought it was stupid. So when the film came out, my dad took me to see it... needless to say, the second song is titled "Uncle F***er" and the ending features a giant talking clitoris. I dunno if I was too young.... But it was definitely awkward.

I can't remember the movie but I know there was a sex scene in one and I froze and stared out the window until I could tell by the dialogue it was over. I could feel my dad's stare on the side of my head lol.

Mine was probably when I was 13 and my Dad and I watched "The Wraith". He wanted me to see it because it was filmed in my home town, apparently not knowing about the topless scenes.

I thought it was awesome!

I remember when we were younger and my dad watching Porky's and laughing his head off, we didnt get it, now watching it is the funniest movie every, and now my husband laughs just like my dad did way back then lollollol

I forget the movie title (was not very memorable) but my 90 year old Grandmother was watching with me. Movie had something to do with gay guys and the word 'sodomy' was mentioned several times. Movie was boring so I shut it off. Grandmother asks me to 'explain' sodomy and I did. And then she said ..."well my goodness, what's the big deal? That goes on in bedrooms ALL over America!"

I STILL laugh about that. She was such a funny lady. I even told this story as part of her Eulogy (she would have approved, believe me) ... and the attendees laughed until they had tears.

She would have liked that. :)

When I was home one weekend in college I walked in and sat down with my dad. He was just kind of flipping around and landed on Fatal Attraction. Seconds later it's the scene where they are going at it like the ship is going down and I'm sitting there thinking for the love of God change the channel!!! But he didn't. I still feel sick.

Let's see. When I was about 13, we all went to the cinamax. My younger sister and I to one file, my folks to another. I realized I had seen "our" film, so I went to the cinema with my folks and watched A Clockwork Orange with them.

About a year later, we went to the theater and saw Hair on stage. Where one of the nude guys was semi-erect.

As a young adult, I went to watch Quest for Fire and noticed that there was a lady with a small child in front of me. Thought that was rather bold ... and after the second monkey-sex scene, she clapped her hands over the kids eyes and rushed out exclaiming about the fact that this wasn't a nature show.

And I remember Caligula! Read the book, too. "Little Boots!"

Don't take my child away from me: we watch Dexter together. When there are boobies, I cover her eyes and say, "You can watch all of the violence and blood and guts, but NO BOOBIES!" She's 15. She gets the irony.

Years ago, me, x, and my brother were visiting my mother. We were all in our 20s, and my mom was probably in her 60s.

She told us to go get some movies at the rental place in the grocery store, so we just grabbed a few randomly and brought them back.

My brother picked out "Clerks", and we all sat down to watch it.

My mother was so disgusted when they started talking about "snowballs" that she ripped it out of the VCR, stated that she had never seen such filth in her life, and brought it back to the rental place as soon as they opened the next morning.

Years ago I was on a business trip and talking to my son on the phone. At the time, he was 9 and DD was 4. He was sharing with me how much fun he and his sister had the night before, because...

DS: "Dad let us pick a movie to watch and we ordered pizza and camped out in the living room!"

Me: Sounds like fun, honey! What movie did you watch?

DS: "Eight Heads in a Duffel Bag! It was about a guy who picks up the wrong duffel bag and it has 8 severed heads in it!"

Me: What? You watched this? Did DD watch it too?

DS: Yep. We both did. Dad fell asleep though and missed all the best parts!

Me: Put your father on the phone.

My kids STILL talk about that movie 11 years later. It left quite the impression.

I'm not sure how old my oldest son was, but he was still sitting in his high chair - I let him watch Poltergeist. Yes, I am a bad mother - but I had to pay for it with his nighttime visits to my bedroom after bad dreams. He now LOVES scary movies and lets my grandchildren watch some questionable films. But he is the one paying now.

And we used to go to the movies on Christmas Eve as a way to pass the time until bed time. My sons were in high school and we picked the movie - "Any Given Sunday" because it was about football, so I thought they would like it. There is full frontal male nudity - let's just say that on the big screen it was . . . impressive. We were all very uncomfortable.

DS LOVES walking dead (i know, not a film) but covers his eyes when people kiss or worse LOL...

True man - can handle the blood and the gore, but once the romance enters the fray he just covers his eyes and shakes his head.
