What a sucky day! I am irritated with myself, my MIL, my kid. I think I will stick with the self part this post….

First of all, I have been feeling like crap yesterday and today. Dizzy, lightheaded, almost passing out a few times, headache… I've tried not to complain too much because it's tiresome but I have just felt off.

Weeeelllllll…...this afternoon I finally got around to putting all my stuff away from our trip to the g2g over the weekend. As I'm putting my toiletries away I find my prescription bottle of ADs.

Hmmm here is my medicine…but I have been taking my medicine for the last two days…did I somehow end up with an extra bottle??? *walk to my nightstand and look at nearly identical bottle of medicine* Oh crap! I have been taking BH's blood pressure medicine instead of my anti-depressant for two days. No wonder I feel like crap.

Yeah, I'm a nurse. I'm so proud. (NOT) The pills are same color and shape and very close in size and we have the same last name on our pill bottles…. I never wear my glasses because I really need new ones. I swear I see better without them….except for reading.

So I'm not really feeling like myself and BH is not impressed with this brilliant stunt at all. Hope I feel better tomorrow when I take only my own medication.

ETA: I forgot to mention my B/P usually runs on the very low side of normal….

I once had a dr put me on blood pressure meds. I got sick dizzy. Light headed. Went back in after 4 days. She had me take my BP at home always normal. Diagnosis "white coat hyper tension" but those 4 days were miserable. So I know how you feel.

Ah the old pill mistake.

One of my front desk workers called me on my cell while I was driving into work. "I accidently took ambien instead of my beta blocker! What can I do???" Um, say goodnight!

Knights - Do I need to mail you a pill organizer, I have them for just one time a day, BID, and TID. LOL

Well I'm glad you figured it out before you passed out and knocked yourself in the head.

Now when you get a minute take all your pill bottles, and use a sharpie and put your initial on the caps of all of them. If you don't use a pill minder, or your glasses this should clue you into your pills.

Gotta say I did this once, and it could have been real bad, thought I took a 800 mg Motrin, and ended up being a Norco. Had a drug test the following week. Whoops!!!!

Oh yeah, one time I grabbed a bottle of Robutussin DM in the dark and chugged it .... and.... it wasn't that it was tussinex. So the person who rarely has taken more than 5mg of hydrocodone at any given time probably got about 20mg at once. And I was SO nauseated. AND I was on call. BUT I didn't cough!

Actually, it did a little...we keep our meds separate but we picked them up at the pharmacy on the way to the g2g and I threw them all in my toiletries bag. BH had his in his pill organizer so he didn't look for his rx bottle when we got home and I just helped myself.

Tush, I only take 2 prescription meds and a few supplements but I HAVE a pill organizer. Lol. It was just empty....

I'm doing the sharpie thing and going to get new glasses. NOT from the superstore this time.

PJ, you made me feel better.

Once, when DD22 was a teen she had dental work or something and had a rx for lortab or something. She woke up hurting and hurriedly gave her a "pain pill" without turning the light on....she was in mommies bed. I asked her about an hour later how she was feeling. "It still hurts but I don't mind....hehehehe..." I turned on the light to discover I had given her my benzo....

I take 5 meds a day, I've mixed mine up, but at least they were all mine, lol. Hubs keeps his on his side of the bed.

I tend to forget my morning meds. It's so bad I've set an alarm on my phone. Esp since one is topamax. I really shouldnt forget that.

Oddly I never forget my lexapro because I can tell within 12 hours of missing it. It sucks. But I take that at night with my sleep meds, and I never forget my sleep meds.
