Our cat, Happy, was diagnosed with an abdominal cancer a year and a half ago, after we took him in for extreme vomiting. He was given meds to stop the vomiting and we asked for pain meds when those stopped working. He had a LOT of good days and some really bad days. Waywardson was on vacation until last Friday. As soon as he went back to work, the barforama began. We kept trying different meds and different med schedules, but he just couldn't keep the meds down. We knew it was time, but we didn't want to do it yesterday because that was the anniversary of Waywardson's dad's death. Happy started vomiting blood yesterday evening, so we were up most of the night cleaning carpets. We got a little sleep. When we woke up, Happy was laying in the sun. I'm glad he was able to spend his last morning like that. When Waywardson got the carrier, Happy went right in. That had never happened before and it tore Waywardson up, but we knew- without a doubt- that he was ready.

I am so sorry. It amazes me how our beloved furbabies "know" when it's their time. Hold tight to all your happy memories of Happy.

I'm so sorry. He was blessed to be a part of a family who truly loved him and took such loving care of him.

RIP Happy. Rainbow Bridge is a magical place where animals go and their youth, strength, health and vitality is restored while they wait for you to cross.
As a Dog "mom" of a family of Lhasa Apso dogs that passed on one by one within 36 months, this is very hard on us...not them. They know. They understand their time here is over. They also know they really don't leave us. They are there always watching over us till we get to the other side.
