I am not a big fan of the mouse, but could tolerate Orlando. I am in SW Fl and while this is a great area, I understand that it is quite a trip for other parts of the state. I have family in Tampa-St. Pete, so that sounds good to me too.

Hmmmm...gotta be a way to work in fishing and meeting up with folks. I'm sure not everyone is into getting on a boat for the day, but lot's of potential for a fish feast at Sunsets if I get there a day early

I love the Clearwater area... I could get there easy enough.
Jax is also doable if more people wanna met up there.

We like Jax, but "Orlampa" (lol) would probably get us the best turn out as it is more central.

So whaddya all say we work with the premise of a Tampa/St. Pete/Clearwater GTG and see how it evolves?
As for dates, I threw late September out there - weekend of Sept 20-21 or Sept 27-28?
Maybe those who want to fish can do so on Friday or Saturday morning before other festivities begin??

The last 2 weekends in September both work for me. Tampa area is also great but I am flexible. My time is very limited at the moment, so I really appreciate those offering to help plan. Looking forward to my first G2G!

Last weekend in September works for me. So does Clearwater Beach. There's restaurants, shopping, the beach all within reasonable walking distance. Park the car and be done if you like. Safer, especially if somebody spikes the punch....... There are several different price points there, from 150 a night to the low 60's. There are also dolphin cruises, fishing charters, jet ski rentals, stuff like that all within a square mile or so.
I can't find a group rate unless I have an idea of a head count. I'm in, so that's one.
So again, the weekend of September 27th. Clearwater Beach. There will be options for rooms. Head count:1

I did some scouting this weekend. Hard work, you knows?
Clearwater Beach is perfect. Park the car and walk everywhere. Beach, shopping, restaurants, and excursions all self contained. Head count is 2 and a maybe.
