I posted a couple of pix for someone who is redoing their son's bedroom, so she could see the awesome mural my boys had on their wall at our old house. It made me realize just how much I miss living there. I'd take my 1200 sq ft ranch over this almost 2000 sq ft Colonial I know it's just a house, but the transition was hard, given the circumstances, and I feel like something was taken from me.

Hold on to those old memories. I hope you're feeling a little better today.

You know Mama...I was thinking about you a lot today.

Years ago, a really nice house down the block from us went up for sale so of course I took the tour with the relator For some reason I had my heart set on moving into it, so much so that I almost called my mom to ask for the money which REALLY pissed MH off

Anyway, a couple mornings later I was leaving for work and I was sitting in our driveway putting on my lipstick and I started looking around our old house and I realized just how much I would miss living here...so many memories, good and bad and everything in between has happened inside this house for the last 22 years of my life. I started crying because my heart was telling me everything I already knew which was this is the house I'm supposed to be in.

Big changes are so hard...I really hope your new house can bring you some wonderful happy times that will create new memories for you

Thank you, DS. We've been here for just over two years, but it still doesn't "feel" like home. This is a rental and the landlords are kinda a PITA most of the time (so many things that need fixed, but they won't do it/it takes forever for them to do it). We've had good memories, here, but it's an "in between home" until next year at this time (unless we can find a different rental). According to what we've been told, we will not be able to purchase a new home then...being in a home that's not really "home" has been just as hard as missing my old house, some days.

You know what? When the time is right and the stars are aligned everything will fall into place for you all. Look at this as a transition period...it's not permanent

Thank you, DS. I'm trying to look at it that way...as a time for us to pay off some medical debt and save enough money so we have at least 10% down.
