How did the meeting go?

Consolt was Friday. Today was for retainer and signing paperwork to file for number. My state really takes advantage of the working parent. I still may be a step behind her yhough. Looks like she has been talking to the same lawyer for the past 2 weeks. Assuming that is the one she retained herself.

If it is the same attorney and you have both shared information with him/her the has been a conflict and therefore can't represent either of you. Check with your local Bar Association for clarity.

No, my lawyer said for me to try and find out who she reatained. She wouldn't tell me. I checked cell phone records today. I found one that she called about a half dozen times in the past 2 weeks. Only a few min each call though. May just be questions or it's her lawyer. I'll have my lawyer call them once the paperwork is ready to be served, unless I get served first.

I don't understand. Certainly your lawyer can and should tell you if your WW has already retained him/her/practice. Otherwise, there would be a definite conflict of interest.

So now my question is why do you need the name of her attorney? Just have her served...at home, at work...give your attorney all of her best possible locations. The court will engage the process servers to do the work. Once she is served, she can pass the info on to her attorney, if she has retained one. If she hasn't already then she'll have to pick and retain one.

It's not my lawyer, it's another one. Different practice all together. Lawyer told me if I found out who it was, I might not have to pay someone to serve her. That's when I looked at cell phone records to see what firm she keeps calling. I found it, but don't know for sure if that is her lawyer yet. My lawyer could call to be sure when papers are ready.

Ok, thanks for clarifying. How much is service? I say eat the cost and get the damn thing moving. It'll be money well spent. Don't get hung up on this.

She seems to be spending more time with him. Playing games to try and keep kids away from me. Working through it without trying to get crazy. She got me going a bit yesterday. Calmed myself and now doing better. Tried a couple times today, didnt work. Still asking for favors for her, when i say no she gets nuts.
