Holy crap monkeys. I just finished reading all 24 pages of this thread 
The vacation, the harassment, the ruse. I did a double take on some of the dates of the posts, and here I thought my last two years were bad! Sounds like a Lifetime movie in the making.
I'm sorry for all your troubles, but you are a solid, decisive man, and your daughter sounds like a good cookie too. It's refreshing to hear.

I'm really sorry for your daughter, it is heartbreaking that your ex used her as a pawn in her deception, instead of being a mother to her.

My heart hurts for you and your daughter. Your ex wife is a monster.
I highly doubt the monster has the ability to devote herself to your daughter, exclusively. That isn’t in her nature.
Also, as a Registered Nurse, I am always shocked that a nurse can cheat. The very nature of what we do, professionally, just doesn’t mix with the narcissism needed to cheat.
So much for our noble profession.
I hope for peace of mind, a soothed soul, and great times ahead for you and your daughter
