Katrina was voted off first.

Why do you think you'll "survive" Survivor?

Because I can win! I know how to win. Just like I went from farm town girl to Olympic swimmer (swam for the USA 1985-1991, and 1988 Olympics), I am tenacious and great at convincing others to support me. They feel good about themselves around me and value me, thus being okay with me being the winner.

Sorry, Katrina....didn't happen

Hi Minnesota,

We used to have SIers choose their survivor cast member, or one was assigned to you.

Unfortunately, it seems that this season doesn't have the draw of interest, so I will just update weekly.

But whoever reads this thread I hope they will contribute with their thoughts and opinions.

As of right now, my choice for going all the way is Ali. She has her head on her shoulders and seems to be playing a nice calm, cool collected game.

Simone was voted off second.

What's your reason for being on Survivor?

I wanted a change... for like a month.

Why do you think you'll "survive" Survivor?

I have good luck and I'm unafraid to make consequential decisions that affect everyone's game.

You got your change...like for six days!

Patrick was voted off third on the 8th day.

Why do you think you'll "survive" Survivor?

I believe that I can withstand the challenges in every facet. I can solve puzzles, work well with my team, strategize, and in most cases beat out my competitors with my endurance. I can take on the outdoor elements, I can fish, I can build a shelter, and probably start a fire. I am good at bonding with others and communicating to create friendship and strategies so that my team will not want to eliminate me. I will be too valuable to get rid of, but will not outperform to look like a threat.

"work well with my team"

Ahh...NO! Didn't happen at the immunity challenge. You hogged that bean bag...and Lauren's been playing baseball for 25 years...

"I will be too valuable to get rid of..."

You were blindsided.

Drop your buffs - tribe swap tonight!

Still three tribes, but now a mix of players.

New tribe names, too: Levu, Soko and Yawa.

Jeff Probst: "And even though the tribes will now have unique tribe names, there are still existing alliances that will now be tested. Is it in your best interest to stay true to your original group, or is this the time to make your move?"

The new tribes, for those trying to keep track:

Levu, formerly known as the Heroes:

• Former Heroes Alan Ball (more on him momentarily) and Ashley Nolan

• Former Healers Joe Mena and Desi Williams

• Former Hustler Devon Pinto

Soko, formerly known as the Healers:

• Former Heroes Chrissy Hofbeck and JP Hilsabeck

• Former Healer Roark Luskin

• Former Hustlers Ali Elliot and Ryan Ulrich

Yawa, formerly known as the Hustlers:

• Former Hero Ben Driebergen

• Former Healers Cole Medders, Jessica Johnston and Mike Zahalsky

• Former Hustler Lauren Rimmer

Alan was voted off tonight by his new tribe mates.

Why do you think you'll "survive" Survivor?

I also want to win on my own merit...Everything I've accomplished I've had to scratch and claw at it. I've never been given anything or put in situations to succeed. My life has always been about proving people wrong and I feed on that, here is another shot.

Alan, you weren't a team player.

Regretfully, IMO, Roark was voted off 5th last night. She was the outsider in her tribe, and Chrissy, who caused their tribe to lose the immunity challenge, outwitted Roark.

Why do you think you'll "survive" Survivor?

With a few exceptions, people usually like me. I am great at compartmentalizing, so I'll have the ability to form genuine connections with people, but I'm not one to lose sight of why I'm on Survivor—to be the winner.

Actually, I think Roark did lose sight of her goal; she didn't take the time to form genuine connections in the short time the tribe was together (5 or 6 days). She totally misread Chrissy.

Day 16....merge coming next week

Ali was voted off 6th.

Why do you think you'll "survive" Survivor?

I am a pretty well-rounded individual and feel I can excel at the social, physical, and mental aspects of Survivor. My time is now!

Unfortunately, Ali, your time was not now! (Sorry, Minnesota).

Beware of Chrissy!

Jessica was voted off 7th last night, Day 19.

The tribes have merged and individual immunity was up for grabs.

Desi won - new challenge this year! (keep the ball spinning inside the wheel while balancing on a sloping plank, moving one foot every so often as ordered)

Why do you think you'll "survive" Survivor?

I am extremely physically and mentally resilient as well as disciplined. I am driven by failures, challenges, and goals. I don't react solely on "good feelings." When I sense there is something to be accomplished, my Type A personality comes out! In the same breath, my sanguine personality always stands out as being a super-social optimist, which will give me favor with the other players. I could win Miss Congeniality of Survivor if there was such an award!

Jessica, you were too congenial with Cole in the eyes of your tribe mates.

Close call for Chrissy......hopefully soon she'll be voted off.

LF,

I love this play by play, it's awesome.

I bet DS is looking down and smiling. I know she's enjoying this so much, and I know you're keeping it going for her.

I'm sorry, I just still don't have it in me to participate, but I love you for doing this.

DS, you are forever in my heart. Thank you for sharing your beautiful spirit with me. I will always try to live by the example you have set. I love you and miss you every day and am sorry you had to go so soon, it just doesn't seem fair.

Thank you, AN. I appreciate your comments. I miss DS , too. She would have liked the weekly update.

As an aside, My H and I were talking the other day about me starting a thread with the title, "I'm the only one on my own thread." I did have one SIer respond at the beginning

But now that you responded, too, that wouldn't be true.

Here are some of the comments my H and I shared:

` LF is talking to herself

~ if LF is answering her own question, and doesn't like the response, can she request a Mod to intervene

~ since LF is talking to herself, then, can she talk politics....

This season is actually quite a good one. Hopefully, there will come a season that you will get back your Survivor mojo.

Regards,

lf

Playing with the Devil

A player finds a secret advantage with a special twist; concentration is key in the individual immunity challenge.
