My STBX did this thing a few times and I'm wondering if it was intentional.
He's generally been a very private person around urinating - like he always closes the door and if he doesn't have it closed and I somehow come near he leaps to close it or insists I look away or turns away - all felt kind of excessive since we're married but I respected his boundaries.
On two occasions when we had young women in the house (attendants for my disabled son) he went into our bedroom - right off the living room and into the bathroom - a few feet from the door and urinated - with all the doors open.
Both times I leapt up and closed the door and asked him what he was doing. He acted casual like, what's the big deal. No one can see me.
I have a very tiny house - for certain you can hear everything with those doors open.
I always wondered if this wasn't on the continuum of exposing himself to an unsuspecting witness.

What do you think?
Sounds pretty damned intentional to me.

Yes, it felt intentional and creepy in the moment. I can't reconcile this cavalier attitude towards bathroom privacy when the same guy, well into our marriage, would scream for me to look away when he urinating.
I guess I'm starting to wonder how sick he really is.

Thanks, Just.
A lot of subtle odd shit gets swept under the rug when you're trying to keep your head in the sand like I was.

My husband has always left the door ajar when he urinates in the bathroom. Of course now our bedroom has its own bathroom and on the other side of the house so no one sees or hears him. In his case he has claustrophobia so that’s how he lives. It was a big argument when the kids were younger. No daughter wants to see that.

That doesn't sound crazy. Things out of the ordinary pattern raise a red flag.
People in my house don't think bodily privacy is a big deal in general, but when we have guests over, we do generally have clothes on and close bathroom doors :P

Yeah - even though the Interwebs my Creep-O-Meter was dinging on that one.
Had you not done that would he have turned around and given the thumbs up?
