is there something that can be done for it?
I think so. It's a vascular issue and I think there are surgical and nonsurgical options. It's definitely something worth pursuing. Prayers for you, sister, for all of the struggles in your life.

mesenteric insufficiency. They did vascular flow studies to the mesenteric artery and confirmed the diagnosis. I just did a search on mesenteric insufficiency and spinal cord injury and it appears there is some correlation.
This is almost always accompanied by some sort of colitis from poor blood flow. But is definitely worth asking about. Additionally it is treatable in intervention radiology and is often stented like one would get a stent in their heart or aorta.
