Ok. This is a crazy one. I did 23 and Me and expected to see family members on both sides of my family. But I have only been able to identify my mother's side of the family. I'm a bit concerned. And to top it off, both parents have passed away and I am an only child. I'm trying to get my cousins to do it on my father side but none have. Not sure what to think. Or main I just don't want to think that.

Are you concerned your father is not your bio father?
Survived two affairs and brink of Divorce. Happily reconciled. 12 years out from Dday. Reconciliation takes two committed people to be successful.

I hope you have an explanation that will help to ease your worry (((HUGS))). Sadly...I have seen it on this site where people have found out their biological sperm donor is not their dad
.
Whatever the outcome...you had TWO loving parents...please don't forget that
.
A "perfect marriage" is just two imperfect people who refuse to give up on each other.

I AM happy again...It CAN happen!!!

Do you know for sure that there are family members from your dad's side that have taken the test? Are you being connected with family you don't know?
My WH, 56, just found out this year that he's the product of an affair. He took the Ancestry test, and his siblings show as half siblings. The hardest part for him has been that the woman he believes to be his half sibling on the bio dad's side won't respond to him at all.
However, his dad is still his dad, regardless of who donated the sperm to help create him. My dad is not my biological dad, but he's still my dad.

Indont know of this is helpful to you. I did the other DNA test and I have many relatives listed. Two of them are on my dads side, including a half sibling over in Vietnam. Neither of the two on my dads side are listed as my dads side. Only my mothers relatives are specified as my mothers relatives. That leads me to believe that my father hasn’t publicly connected his DNA to the site (he has done it). My mother had done it and connected it so maybe that’s why her relatives only show up in my connections. I hope you find the answer you’re looking for.

Mitochondrial DNA only passes through the mother. So if a woman had a daughter and a son, both children get that DNA, but only the daughter will pass it on to her children. So all mitochondrial DNA comes only from the mother. DNA from other parts of the cell are from either parent.
The fact that you are not seeing anything from your dad's side of the family only means no one from your dad's side has used the test. I hope your cousins take the test so you can know
