Read up about Savannah Bridge Run where one of the runners spanked and ass-grabbed female reporter, it's on video. (an internet search will find this)
According to him, it's 'not who he is' (uh, news flash, YES IT IS), it was a 'mistake' (now where have we all heard that before), he was 'caught up in the moment' (so that makes sexual battery ok then, right?? WHAT ENTITLEMENT!!!!!
), 'wasn't sure where he touched the reporter' (uh yeah, sure, whatev), and he 'regrets that it happened' (yeah, cuz ya got caught and will with any luck have some consequences to go along with that slap) - but you know who regrets it more? THE VICTIM OF YOUR ATTACK.
ASSWIPE!!!!!!!!!!!!

The look on her face when he does this is heartbreaking.

I agree with everything you said ZenMum.
No man or women should have to put up with such entitled unwanted behavior.
I had something very similar happen to me many years ago as a young twenty something at work. Unfortunately I seemed to be the only one that saw anything wrong with it.

He's just upset he was caught and called out on it. He has done it before and, no doubt, will do it again.
Sad to say, but I have started telling my third graders that "no means no" when one of their classmates asks them to stop doing something.

Yes. He's disgusting. And it's clear from his apology that he's learned nothing. Apparently he's a youth pastor and a Boy Scout leader. I hope that they organizations both distance themselves and speak out against his despicable behavior. I also hope he's prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Whodidimarry -wow about youth pastor. I have actually heard of a lot of bad stuff wrt youth pastors. I am skeptical of sending my kid to youth group one day as I’ve heard several stories of bad actors. Including both sexual misconduct and nonsexual-but-romantic-inappropriate grooming of teens who they’ve later gotten together w or married after they came of age. Ugh

He claimed to WSAV that as he approached he saw people passing the reporter waving hands and planned on doing the same, and that he knew he had touched her but did not know where as he ran past. He also said he had wanted to tap her on the shoulder or the back.
This is a guy who is supposed to be a youth leader (minister and boy scouts). I hope the law makes an example of him and I really wish that national media quits giving assholes like this a platform to obfuscate and try to steer the narrative. The video evidence is clear, he leers into the camera and smacks her in the ass. As WH5 states, the look on her face tells the whole story.

I watched this three times. His eyes were directly on the body part he touched. He claims he was waving to the crowd. That he raised his hand to wave to the audience. But look at his face before the hand comes down. He is well aware of where his hand is going to land. POS. He’s humiliated her, his wife and family.

Yeah, he's all about minimization. Well we all saw the video, who are we going to believe - him or our lying eyes??
The reporter does want to press charges, and her employer is backing her all the way. I hope the DA agrees to go with the maximum possible for this guy, whatever that is. It's not a case of 'he said, she said', there documentary video evidence.
And yes, her face, what shock and pain is reflected there.

I hadn’t heard that he was using that excuse... Waving to the crowd??? No way that’s what he was doing.
I think that makes me more angry than the assault. DENYING that he assaulted her. And his poor wife.

Just watched the video. No way in hell he didn't know where he was going to hit her. He wound up and positioned himself away from the other runners behind her and he was looking right at where he was going to hit.
What a jerk!

I read where he’s being charged with sexual battery. I’m glad the authorities and the poor girl are following through with consequences.

He is lucky in the fact that she was so sho led and caught off guard that she wasn't able to throat punch him. I've done some serious damage to men that thought it was ok to grab my front or rear. Like her, a few times I was so stunned, I didnt act fast enough, though. I'm so glad she is pressing charges. What's sad are all the comments from both men AND women saying she's in the wrong for pressing charges. Unbelievable!
