Stupid vent- neighbors

Gottagetthrough posted 1/8/2021 07:44 AM

Ugh. My neighbors suck. This isnt a big deal, and they have done some biggies... so i feel sort of stupid being pissed off but I think its because they ssuck. If it were any other neighbors i wouldnt have thought twice about it.

My dog is a 10 lb tiny dog. He was on our deck yesterday (weve been away for 2 months and so jackass neighbor hasnt had anything like us walking in our yard to complain about) and barked at a noise. Jackass Neighbor was unloading his groceries and after my dog barked at the noise, jackass neighbor proceeded to whistle while unloading groceries. Hes not a whistler, he wasnt whistling a tune, it was to rile my dog up.

Is it a big deal? Not really. However, given their history, i will say People who taunt animals worry me.

tushnurse posted 1/8/2021 07:47 AM

Yah I would not leave that dog outside unattended.

You know those people are unstable and nuts. The last thing you need is a poisoned dog.

Be careful.

..so, have you watched the crime series 'Fear Thy Neighbor'..??

One can never know how far a'neighbor' will go to settle a dispute. Barking dogs, whether yours or his, can turn into an issue that can destroy that friendly neighbor atmosphere we all hope for. And the size of the dog doesn't matter. There is a neighbor 6 houses away with a 'little' dog that barks for 20 minutes at a time, a sharp, yappy, ear piercing bark.

No, I don't want to kill the dog... I want to kill the neighbor..figuratively speaking of course..

The two big dogs next door, come out, bark a quick hello and that's it!! However..... ..the 2 pound turds they leave behind my garage don't excite me too much. They don't know just how disappointed I am at their choice of 'drop zones'...their own grass is just a few feet away

Next time your neighbor starts whistling, ask him to "name that tune".. that'll throw him off balance.

smy.. by the way, we have CATS!

Guilty - Good thing my next door neighbor is my sister. My older lab loves to shit in her yard, and my sister thinks its funny, her husband, god bless him tries to have a nice yard, does not.

I can usually catch her before she gets over there, but my son, and H don't do as good of job to stop her. The trade off is my sisters doodles bark all damn day when they are at work. I swear that they can hear me open my front door. They cannot see it, but they loose their minds when I open the door. They loose their minds when the wind blows. They loose their minds when the Amazon, UPS, Fedex, Mail guy drops something off, they loose their minds if a squirrel or deer cross through the yard. It is ALL DAY LONG.
I usually just turn on some low music to drown them out as my home office is on the side of the house next to hers, and I can hear them.....

Anyway - I know of others who have had their dogs poisoned by pissed of neighbors. And your neighbors that you have brought up before see totally crazy.

Gottagetthrough posted 1/8/2021 09:41 AM

SMY- i totally understand and am usually the neighbor who calls their dog in IMMEDIATELY after he starts to bark. My personality makes me very cognizant of how others see me, and i always try to make everyone around me happy (including neighbors)

This time i let the dog hang on the deck while barking bc 1- i knew he was barking at crazy neighbor and 2- it was about 2-3 minutes or less of barking. Plus, i had just driven 8 hours back home the day before, with 3 kids and a dog, and i was just too tired to care

These people have a history- ive heard mom tell her 2 yr old at the time “EAT YOUR FUCKING DINNER!” And their 6 year old talks about killing people. My kids have, seceral times over the years, come in and hugged me and said they were glad i was their mom bc mom next door was yelling and screaming at her kids inside her house and mine could hear it.

Neighbor Dad once stood with a hoodie on, arms folded, and stared at me unloading groceries (it was about 8 pn and dark outside)

They. Are. Weird.

Theyve screamed at my 11 year old before, say hes a horrible kid, so 90% of the time when hes outsode i stay and watch him, evem though hes 11. In doing that ive seen their kids do some pretty bad stuff. (Actually they do what the parents claim my son does... its strange... plus they send their kids outside and yell, play nice with Gotta’s son! While, they say my son bullies their kids... if you really think my kid is a bully, wouldnt you say “stay away from him” )

I totally think its in them to poison a dog. I think dad next door was just being passive agressive because his wife is nuts and emotionally abuses the whole family, his kids are out of control because of being emotionally abused, and he can upset a little dog ...

As Jack Nicholson said in as good as it gets: go sell crazy somewhere else. Were all stocked up here.

..someone famous once said, "Good fences make good neighbors"... but not always!

I'm actually amazed that there aren't more cases of neighbors killing neighbors over disputes about noise, be it dogs loud parties, or unruly kids, not to mention neighbors with differing political stripes.

What ever happened to "Love Thy Neighbor" ???

...but if my neighbor poisoned MY dog or cat..

they better be sure their 'fire insurance' is paid up.??

smy

I hate passive aggressive asswholes like that. Two years ago, my neighbor's daughter brought her boyfriend over. He was egging my dog on. Stupid ass didn't realize I'd just had hand surgery a few weeks before and didn't yet have all my strength back to hold off my 90 lb GSD if he yanked with all of his strength. I told him to knock it off and he got worse. I may or may not have let Max have 17 ft of leash to scare the shit put of him. They have since moved away. Never had a problem with the neighbor or her daughter, just the asswhole boyfriend. People that do shit like that to dogs deserve to boil in oil. JMHO!

Barbed wire topped fences work.

Fences topped with electric work better. Would be great if i wasn't legally required to post signs saying its an electric fence.

We need binoculars to see our neighbours and in the small group of homes around the bend is a house with dogs that BARK ALL NIGHT and it echoes so much that people in town in the other direction complain.

Of course we have coyotes and wolves make more than enough noise almost nightly so im used to that.

Those neighbours of yours a crazy. I'd make it clear that you so not want anything to do with them and creepy shit will be reported to police.

Gottagetthrough posted 1/10/2021 07:30 AM

I usually try to ignore these people. I think the mom gas mental health issues, and emotionally abuses everyone in her house. I think dad is a wimp who cant stand up for himself so he has said mean things to my kid and finally yelled at my kid (he didnt know we were outside and saw this happen) and my husband in turn confronted him and gavr him a huge dressing down... now that he knows he cant bully my kid, he did the last thing he could- irritate my dog.

He goes to work early (before 6 am) and i just happened to be outside this morning, as i had to go out of town early .For some reason, i was loading bags in my car , and started whistling a song

Dont know if he caught on, but he did give me a strange look. I like to think he did

Ive ignore them for years and they are just bad people. Im done tip toeing around them. I have to top toe around my wh, around my neighbors... ive just run out of fucks to give.

This is not the first time you complain about these people.
This is the family that make the Manson family sound nice. The young Ted Bundy reincarnated that will one day smirk when you go look for your dog. The family were screaming death-threats at each other is normal.
You have been given advice ranging from contacting their landlord to simply selling and moving.
I strongly suggest you do either.

little turtle posted 1/11/2021 07:06 AM

When are you moving??

Gottagetthrough posted 1/12/2021 13:59 PM

No way im moving because of these assholes. They dont get to dictate my life.

And unfortunately they own the house so no landlord to call.

I stay outside when my kid is out now... its not much of a problem as i have a 1 yr old who likes to play outside, too, plus due to covid kids arent playing outside as much.

Parents will only yell- they would never get violent with me or kids (i dont think!). I can see them poisoning my dog so i walk him far from their property.

The one im concerned about is the youngest kid. The one who says he wants to kill people. But i dont think he will physically hurt any one in my family now... due to age... and im planning to move (for other reasons, not bc of the neighbors) within the next few years, so we will be gone before hes in puberty. Raging hormones + adult height and weight + a kid who talks about killing people= something i dont want to be around!

little turtle posted 1/13/2021 18:22 PM

I thought the plan was to move closer to your family.

Gottagetthrough posted 1/13/2021 20:26 PM

Little Turtle- yes, definitely. Which is one reason i dont want to move now... if im in this state 2 more years, id hate to move now, then again in 2 years to the state my family lives in.

Its not a huge deal. Just the guy being a douche. It gets me that they complain about my kid when they are really the bad ones. I just hate the lies. My kid is no angel, and he has ADHD so hes a little loud and rambunctious, but hes nice and has actually stuck up for these kids before . The motger has told me this!

Someone said they sound like they have a cluster b personality disorder ... i looked it up and that does sound like them.
