I know we are a diverse group here and have always been curious of the different occupations my fellow members have. So if you'd like share what you do, please post away. It doesn't have to be detailed if you don't want.
I'll start.
I worked for a huge insurance company for several years before my entire department was outsourced. I received transmissions from my assigned client base and updated our systems. I also researched transmission issues and set up electronic client files. Now, I'm terminally unemployed.
Now if you managed to stay awake after I typed the word insurance...

I'm a project manager at a bank and currently in charge of converting data to our new imaging system. I've been in banking 26 years.

I am a registered nurse with 3 jobs.
My FT job is with a Rehab Center/Skilled Nursing Facility. ("Nursing Home") I do MDS assessments, which is an assessment tool devised by the federal government required on all residents/patients in a Medicare or Medicaid certified facility. (True story: MDS stands for Minimum Data Set. The damn thing is 38 pages long and has a manual 4" thick. Only our government could come up with something like that and have the nerve to call it "Minimum"
)
I have a part time job doing RN supervisory visits for a non-medical home care company. (We provide non-licensed/non-certified caregivers and companions for in home care). And I also maintain a website devoted to nursing care plans. I enjoy writing care plans, which is extremely unusual and probably indicative of some psychiatric disorder.
And I was lucky enough to find people who would pay me to do something they hate and I enjoy. WINNING!

I'm a music teacher. Before becoming a SAHM, I taught general music and chorus at a public school (grades 6 - 8). Now I teach at a private studio (if you call one day a week, "work"). I had actually worked there through college and my first year of teaching public school. Then I went back there after DD4 was born. Besides private lessons, I have taught the children classes (birth - 6), directed a choir that sang at Lincoln Center, and group lessons. But now I've only been doing private lessons. I teach voice, piano, guitar, saxophone, and violin. Again, I only teach 1 night a week and I really love doing it so it's really not a job.

I'm the principal of a small alternative education charter high school. Aside from my title, I'm also the janitor, groundskeeper, counselor, social studies teacher, registrar and secretary. It's the best job I've ever had, although I'm thinking about going back to school to be a counseling psychologist once I get my student loan paid down a bit because the counseling part is my favorite thing about the job.
