...it's the weekend.

What's everyone got going on?

I'm cozying up with a beer and Sallyshrink's TMI thread tonight.

Tomorrow a long trail run and then we'll check out the home show -- I need some ideas for a kitchen remodel.

Sunday I'm due to brew some beer (yay!) plus all the usual household chores (boo!).

Heading to a town a few hours away to see an old friend. Movie, dinner, wine, dancing?

Prior to that, I'll likely skip my kids sports events, as my desire to NOT see WH (he has them tomorrow) has inched past my desire to see my kids everyday. Divorce time!!

Still dealing with the crazy storm we had this past Wednesday. Lots of snow, lots of wind, lots of trees and wires down. I was lucky didn't loose my power until today... for about an hour. Just got it back.

Lots of detours and road closures.....

So I will stick close to home this weekend and just read, read, and then clean.

Have a good weekend all!!!!

Totally blah, mundane weekend. Nothing but stuff around the house like clean, wash some clothes, more getting rid of paper, maybe a little shopping or make a couple of calls to friends. Might read or decide to go out to eat or a movie just to break things up. Glad some people have some exciting things going on.

Be safe in the winter conditions.

Off work for 3 days. Gonna try to catch up on paperwork, clean the house, and sleep in every day! I hope to feel very refreshed Monday !

Last weekend was a bust due to lost power, so I am catching up this weekend.

GDM is sick (he believes it to be bubonic plague--go figure), so I am on my own. Will do errands, catch up on laundry and maybe settle in for some binge-watching of The Crown or something.

In other words, I am totally unfettered and loving it!

Although I am concerned about GDM. It is unlike him to be sick, especially twice in one season. The doctor's office managed to convince him that the 10-year-old aspirin he had in his medicine cabinet was probably ineffective (for a smart fellow, he can be so silly!). He doesn't want me to get this (it is very likely the flu) so I will stand by and do my thing.

I feel for you guys buried in snow! We had spring here already and everything bloomed, but we are back to freezing temps so no yard work this weekend.

I'm headed to an indoor electric go kart track with my son soon. I gave him a few races (and myself) for his birthday and he's ready to collect!

In the meantime, my 2 days off are the usual laundry and cleaning. Not exciting.

Yesterday's highlight was pizza for dinner.

Today, my husband took my middle son to get their hairs cut. I'm at home with the other 2 boys. Not sure if my oldest is out of bed yet.... he was home sick on Thursday, so he may need the extra rest. The older kids will probably want to go play with their friends today and tomorrow. I don't have anything planned. I'll probably/hopefully do some housework to prepare for the week. I have appointments every day this week, which is unusual for me!

Stopped on my way home from work yesterday for a much needed pedicure. Today my new dishwasher gets delivered.

I need to cold brew some coffee and make some shave butter this weekend, but other than that, nothing exciting is going on here.

Next week is Spring Break, and my kids left with their dad today. Nine days, eight nights. I haven't been away from my youngest for this long since her brain tumor diagnosis, so I feel out of sorts really. I've got a long-ish list of things to accomplish while they're gone, but so far I'm still on the sofa in my pajamas.

We went to a wildlife center yesterday and I saw some amazing raptors and the cutest owls in existence! Flaking out today as it's drizzling. Decidedly going to go sit in the spa, though. Tomorrow we'll be at the museum again, doing testing and finishing up some work. All in all, a lazy sort of weekend!

Ordinary weekend cleaning and laundry. Got taxes done last weekend so that's out of the way. DD may come over so I can teach her how to do hers. Now that she's married, I told her I was no longer her personal tax accountant so she can either do them or pay someone else. She wants to learn, but I told her it wouldn't happen until I finished my own. Well, now that time has come so the "teaching moment" will occur soon.

Spring break is next week so even though I do have a stack of papers to grade, I'm in no rush.

Got a new Ninja blender system with all the bells and whistles (had a super special deal and couldn't turn it down since my old blender was dying). When they said it included everything, they weren't kidding! It's now covering my kitchen table while I figure out where the hell I am going to put it all with my limited storage options. One more thing on the "to do" list!

I do believe a few adult beverages are on my list as well...

It’s not supposed to be my weekend with the kids, but because of spring break it is.

Last night we went to my brother’s to celebrate his wife’s bday.

Today I had a facial (I go once a month as part of my commitment to self care) and cleaned some. Had a section of my block wall torn down and replaced bc a tree (had it removed last weekend) was pushing it and it became unstable. Then my son had a friend over for an early bday celebration and we saw Black Panther. So good!

Tomorrow I’m going to an annual local festival my city hosts to volunteer in a beer tent. After my volunteer shift, my mom and kids are meeting me there because The Beach Boys are performing. They were the first band I ever saw in concert as a kid, and my dad LOVED them, so I’m excited for it!

I'm late to the thread, but I traveled to Great Lakes IL and watched my youngest son graduate from US Navy boot camp. He is now in San Antonio attending advanced training school for hospital corpsman. I am so proud.

I survived a weekend spent in the company of my XWH including 12 hours in the same truck. I sat in the back and read most of the drive. My oldest son sat in the front with him. XWH refrained from talking about his SO which was a big surprise. He did brag a lot about the new house that he bought though. Ughh.
