I cannot wait for the next season!!
I have read all the books and have been impressed that the story line hasn't been bastardized too much for the show.
Love GOT!!!

What a great show. I didn't read the books. Is the show true to the books?
And remember Murphy is right. Nothing is so bad that it can't get worse!!!

Counting the hours!!! I've never been as addicted to a show like I am to this one. Have recently (over the last few weeks), rewatched from Season One/Episode One with my SO, who is a new fan. Hardest part has been not saying anything to spoil him! Can't wait till it will be new for both of us.
I'm trusting you book-reading folks to keep this a spoiler free zone...

Is the show true to the books?
It is for the most part. They improvise the timeline for some events which makes it more interesting to read the books IMO. It has to be quite a challenge to take a book and form it into ten equal length episodes to form a season. Book three actually spans seasons three and four on HBO.
They also have more characters in the books that do not appear in the HBO series. The books also provide more history than you would know from just watching the series.

That is what DS and I did. I introduced her to it by rewatching seasons one through three before season four started. I always turned to see her expression when something major was going to happen.
For those that have not yet watched, when I say major that is an understatement.

Die hard GoT fan here. Read all the books.....can't wait for the series to re-start!!
For you other die hard fans: it is a couple of years old now, but go to You Tube and search for "Honest Trailer Game of Thrones". Watch it!!!! You will die laughing....
The odds are greatly against you being immensely smarter than everyone else in the field. If your analysis says your terminal velocity is twice the speed of light, the chances are better that you've screwed up than you've invented warp drive.

That was hilarious! I would embed it here but it contains some inappropriate content. I know I'm a geek when I knew the names of all of the characters that they went through that he said we wouldn't remember their names.
I ordered The Lands of Ice and Fire and it arrived today. It has 12 illustrated maps and it is freaking awesome. Here is a YouTube presentation of it .

So stoked for this to start. It's the only reason I even have HBO anymore. I've been watching all the old ones again. I need to get back to the books. I started book one but never finished. Sigh, never enough time in the day.

Nice first episode. That was the quickest 50 minutes that I've experienced since the beginning of 2015.
So where do you suppose Petyr is planning to go and be out of reach of Cersei? I think behind the Bloody Gate would be plenty safe. The books have not reached that point or maybe I am forgetting something?
The current situation in Meereen is following the plot in the books pretty closely as well as Castle Black. And I loved the flashback of Cersei meeting Maggie the Frog. I don't recall many flashbacks on the HBO series before.
I was surprised they haven't yet presented a scene from Dorne. I was expecting that in the first episode.

Isn't it possible that Baelish is taking her to the The Fingers?

Isn't it possible that Baelish is taking her to the The Fingers?
That is possible. However along the journey it appears that they pass close to Brienne and Podrick. Brienne was suppose to be south of The Eyrie around Duskendale in the beginning of A Feast with Crows. But the Fingers are to the north.
It is really hard to wait a whole freaking week to see another episode.

I have to remind myself that the writers for HBO are not following the plot of the books entirely. Brienne has to be close to The Eyrie because in season 4 she crosses paths with another character or 2 that just left the Bloody Gate. I also have to remind myself not to post spoilers.
