I agree with you, BraveSirRobin, that it is far more likely that Tyrion will be executed and Dany won't be giving a castle to Bronn. I wonder, too, if Bronn will end up killing Tyrion because he won't be able to fulfill his promise of a Lannister always paying his debts. That might end up being Tyrion's last words.

I wonder if Dany will now try to force Sansa to bend the knee. Sansa does not have any forces left, but wounded soldiers. Someone told me they heard a far fetched theory that Bran will "warg" into Drogo somehow to take the Dragon from Dany. Weird theories.

I think, at least, they left a lot of things hanging that we don't know what will happen. Certainly Jon, Davos, Tyrion, Arya, and Sansa are not happy with what Dany did and are not going to want to support her. Dany, herself, said that she was going to rule from fear.

Dany is dying tonight, IMO. I never thought she'd outlive the series, though I can't claim to have seen the "Mad Queen" coming. I thought she would die in childbirth, but I'm clearly wrong about that at this point!

I'm sticking with Jon killing Dany. It's not much of an ending, but this wasn't much of a season. I'd find it more satisfying if it was Tyrion, but he already had his murderous crossbow moment back when Martin was still in charge, and I don't think W&B will go back to the well a second time. Arya wearing Jon's face would also be great, except that I don't think she'd frame him for regicide, and since she killed the Night King, I think her high profile murder spree has reached its end.

Seriously, though, why did they make repeated references to Dany's sterility as recently as last season? So many red herrings and abandoned prophecies. It's depressing.

Exactly! "The One Who Was Promised" ? Is that idea abandoned completely, or was that fulfilled with the killing of the Night King? Also, I think that prophecy also said that the one who was promised would use a sword to kill a loved one and that sword would be powerful. So it could be Jon killing Dany. Or even Tyrion since he does love Dany too.

I also thought Dany would die giving birth. Unless they are going to have Dany ruling and then a stupid fade out and the text:" 9 months later" and her giving birth and dying.

If I'm not mistaken, I think that in order to use a face, that person has to be dead. So unless Jon dies somehow or another, Arya could use his face to kill Dany.

I just hope the show tonight won't be an utter disappointment!!

I also wondered if Bran would warg into Drogon, and Bronn would shoot him down (Bronn still has a crossbow). Two magic things out with one crossbow.

And I wonder if Bronn will be the ONE redemption we actually get. He claims to care for nothing, sellsword, brothel frequenter, etc. Maybe he will care about something in the end.

Nice point about Lannister always paying debts and also nice point about so many unfulfilled prophesies.

One more prediction - Arya is pregnant and that's what gets her to marry Gendry. But there would have to be an epilogue to show that.

We will see soon!

In the end, he cares about brothels.

Oddly enough, I didn't hate this episode as much as I expected to. I sure didn't love it, though. There was far too much expostulation from Tyrion in an effort to save the narrative; even the writers knew we'd thinking, "da fuq?" and so they gave Tyrion extended monologues to explain their reasoning. Telling instead of showing is one of the most elemental failures a writer can commit.

OTOH, I could watch Peter Dinklage read the phone book and be happy about it, so maybe that's why I'm feeling charitable.

It would be too easy to complain so, things to like:

Ghost finally got pets

Cersei is definitely dead

The democracy joke was funny

The dragon seems to be the smartest, most loyal character

Kit Harrington has a range of pathetic looks that is unequalled

Tyrion talking to Jon made me feel just like I was back in late night freshman dorm philosophy debates

The actor who plays Sam got through the book scene without rolling his eyes

Tyrion's pique at not being in the book was delightful

There are some excellent maids who clean up the little counsel room very fast

Bronn is Bronn. There is no Littlefinger-style detached Game of Thrones scheming anywhere in Bronn.

We all just move on from the destruction of a million people. (End Game was so much better. They were sitting around in the rubble staring at their navels five years later like they should have been)

And now the Davids are on to wreck the Star Wars franchise. At least the expectations are low.

I'm still WTFing over Tyrion suggesting "Bran the Broken." Pretty sure Arya has a better story, but whatevs.

But very happy that Sansa ended up Queen of the North.

I am ok with the ending. It seems like everyone left alive got what they wanted. Jon never wanted to be king and is back where he started. Sansa always wanted to be a queen and the north is free at last. Arya gets to go off and explore. Brann wants nothing but accepts being king. Tyrion has been hand of the king/queen for so long it fits him. It's is sad that Varys is not alive to see the new world.

Certainly left us with a season of giant plot holes and undeveloped character moments, but they did pull off a couple nice moments there at the end.

The books certainly allude to a more potentially powerful version of Bran with the knowledge he has, and the ability to look through time.

Hodor didn't die for nothing, he saved the future king.

Ghost and Jon and Free Folk -- that was cool.

Tyrion finally sounding intelligent again after two seasons of silly mistakes was a nice bit.

Ayra being alive is something that may or may not happen in the books, but I'll still have her sail away moment from the show.

Queen of the North was not what I expected, but it was cool too.

The wait for the next book begins again...
