I am sorry sadtoo, I don't know. Usually here in the Midwest it starts at 12:00 or 12:30. (I see you live in the Midwest, too.) But, can't find the time.

What Mr. Martinez should have said back to ALV when she asked "Are you angry with me?" he should have replied "Is this abuse?" .

Please explain this, I missed this apparently.

It means that after this trial, the story of Snow White is ruined. And in case you missed it, pop rocks and tootsie rolls were used as sexual accessories during Jodi and TA's sexual escapades.

I wonder if this delay has to do with juror #5 being in the court room?

I understood about Snow White, I heard ALV talk about that, but, ewwwww! I didn't know that the Pop Rocks and Tootsie Roll pops where used sexually. TMI!!! Poor Travis!

I'm not following the trial - what stage is it in? I did see a news blip about the juror that was dismissed coming back to sit in the courtroom. Anyone know why she's doing that? And if she's been interviewed?

I don't even want to know how someone would use a tootsie roll for sex.

The defense is presenting its case now. Jodi has already testified.

Mr. Martinez, the prosecutor, is going to cross examine the defense witness who is an expert in Domestic Violence today.

I haven't heard anything else about Juror #5.

Unfortuantely, I can think of things to do with both Pop Rocks and Tootsie Pops sexually, although I had never thought about it before this thread.

SORRY!!

I thought after listening to the testimony in this trial we had all become pretty "numb" to that.

Trial is going. I'm live-streaming. They're talking in circles. Been watching 5 minutes and I'm already dizzy.

SMS, if you missed the PopRocks and TootsiePops, be thou grateful.

I am also slightly disappointed by her hair style. They said it was unique and noticeable in the news, I thought it was typical suburban mom. I was imagining a girl with rainbow colored mohawk.

Me, too! Seriously, they really gave the impression that it was an outlandish hairstyle-and it was...so normal.

Very similar to the way I style my hair, but I like to think of it as very Posh Spice<(Victoria Beckham).

I think Mr. Martinez made a great point in showing that ALV thinks Travis is a liar and how does she come to that conclusion.

But all the talking heads seem to think Alice is just fabulous--"holding her own," etc.

I think she's coming across very poorly. She's uncooperative, and NOT "holding her own." At this point, she just seems obnoxious. (And really, if she were to respond differently, it would be pretty easy for her to make Juan look obnoxious. It seems she's trying to do this, but is failing miserably, IMO.)

I think Juan has done a pretty good job of discrediting her. If 90 percent of meaning is derived from nonverbal communication, she really is hard-pressed to defend her conclusions.

Have you guys read her book review on Amazon? I have to admit, I kind of feel bad for her. In the course of one week this woman has completely demolished her career.... but my favorite review was from another DV expert (this one has a PhD, ) and she said that she never cites ALV because she finds her data outdated and her way of thinking archaic. Yikes.

I have & I'm conflicted. On one hand, I feel bad for her because I'm sure she does some good in her line of work (although I sometimes question that because her views ARE archaic). On the other hand, she's pretty much sold herself out for the devil. She's testified Travis was the perpetrator, without ever having met him (because he's dead!) & ONLY going by the words (both written & verbal) of an admitted liar. She's so combative & condescending on the stand, it makes me want to

I kind of thought that after having this weekend (& perhaps seeing those book reviews) she'd be more respectful on the stand yesterday, but nope, she was still battling away. The judge had to instruct her to answer, WITHOUT a qualifer, over 7 times yesterday (yes, I counted LOL). Ugh.

I expect court to start quite late today as the defense team, yet again, submitted a motion late yesterday afternoon for a mistrial.

Random thoughts ( member #2959) posted at 4:01 PM on Tuesday, April 9th, 2013

The "expert " is like the Gloria Allred but of battered and abused women.

She will not answer one question without being a snarky B.

I know all the talking heads are saying that Martinez should tread lightly when asking questions because he might come across as abusive, but my thoughts on this is yes I wouldst agree if it was any other case being tried.

But this is Jodi Arias who slaughtered a man, lied about it to the cops, plotted the murder, drove over a thousand miles to do it.

Men are sitting in the juror seats thinking my wife or girlfriend argue like this and I don't consider myself as an abusive person.

And yes I hope that 250 or whatever the going rate is was worth the crashing of her career because she comes across as a woman who sees abuse everywhere.

I don't listen to the "talking heads" anymore. I DRV-speed right through them. Remember how "good" they said the prosecution was doing during the Casey Anthony case?

Maybe that's a good sign.
