If you don't already dislike Ms.LaViolette, this should do it. Though there are no details (meaning no one knows what was said precisely), the other day (Thursday I believe), on her way off the stand, Alyce went over to Samantha Alexander (Travis' sister) & said something to her
This was seen by several court observers & was also brought up by Vinnie Politain on HLN today.
Again, no one knows what was said, but Samantha was brought into chambers yesterday for quite awhile. What nerve ALV has, seriously. Testifying up there saying Travis' is an abuser & then say something to his sister!?

ALV is one dispicable old HAG.
I have never seen a witness so hell bent on protecting a defendant before. This is absolutely mind boggling.
I hope her career is left in shambles after this clusterfuck.

Is it my imagination, or is Wilmot very subtly shaking her head or nodding in response to questions before LaViolette responds?
When she's not doing this, she is gnawing her own lipstick off. She's NOT happy with the way things are going right now.

Yes, she is. And she is objecting inapropriately i.e. "asked and answered"
Overruled!
Hello Wilma, Are you listening??? NO.
Then she stomps her feet and rolls her eyes and glares at the judge.

Juan is making her sound ridiculous when she goes to those great lengths to defend her stance.

I was appalled that LaViolette approached Travis's family--it is GROSS misconduct, and as a woman who claims to care about abuse, it was downright abusive, itself. (I'd make a complaint against her license, in the family's shoes.)

I had heard about her approaching Samantha. I found it very tacky. I think she was saying something about calling Travis the perp. I just don't get why this woman has to cling so hard to her ideas about Jodi, especially with all of the evidence. Why can't she just say: "Oh my... I done fucked up." That simple! But she absolutely refuses to believe the worst of Jodi. It is mind boggling. This woman does a disservice to DV.

How did this woman have a "sucessful" career in her field for 30 years being this pregiditial? This is outrageous!
This is just my opinion, but she is coming across as a man hater. Makes me wonder if ALV is married? ......you know.....to a man?
And or maybe Jodi Arias somehow seduced her too.
Seriously! What is up with this creepy girl???!!!

@Sadtoo
When Jodi cover her face with her hair when she cries, she resembles "that creepy girl from The Ring.
I'm dying to know what the jurist are thinking when "the expert " is not answering the yes or no questions but giving a monologue about why she thinks this or that.
Very unprofessional to be up there on the stand and be so combative towards the prosecutor.
I think she is so in meshed in this abusive vision tunnel, that she trying to make Martinez look like one of her so called abusers, but she doesn't realize that she coming across as trying to shove Jodi's actions and words into what fits her views.

Yeah....and how about this "expert witness" telling the prosecutor he need a "time out".
Seriously? WTF.

I think the expert thinks she can get away with it because of her expertise in helping abused women, I mean how condescending can she be while answering a question.
Jodi's lawyers should put a stop to how she is acting on the stand, they seem to think how Martinez questions the abused expert is the only way to upset the jury, not seeing how her not answering simple yes or no questions with a yes or no is coming across as slight of hand evasive and frustrating and telling....
I know that if I was sitting up there Ms expert would sound like blah blah blah because I would have tallied her expertise as a fat zero by now.

Are expert witnesses usually this combative? This woman is incorrigible. I have heard people on other forums say they believe she has narcissistic qualities. What do you guys think?
Also, sadtoo, she is gay and does have a partner.

Hmmmm....go figure. (not that there's anything wrong with it) I'm not a "gay hater". (far from it) But a "man-hater" (or woman hater for that matter) is no better than a gay basher.
And this woman is so far over the line it is ridiculous. I'm watching in delay and they just talked about Jodi's crying and if that could be a characterister of "jealousy" and Ms Experts answer was, "I hope not". Meaning that her crying was a result of TA's "abuse".
What a load of CRAP!!
My XNPDH could cry at the drop of a DIME for any reason, on CUE. He wasn't crying for anyone but himself. This "expert" is so far over her head.

I truly think that ALV ( & even perhaps the defense team) thinks her being combative to Juan, in turn, making him frustrated, etc. is a good thing because it shows how angry & "abusive" men can be. Of course, this is just speculation but I honestly feel that way watching her be so combative. I've watched A LOT of trials in my time & have never seen someone behave the way she has. Even when the Judge admonishes her (& I feel the Judge should do so WAY more often), she ignores it and continues rambling on. It's baffling to me. One would think the defense team would coach her how to behave better, then again, this defense team doesn't seem like the brightest crayons in the box.
On the trial website I post at there are a few people who attend court each day & report their observations, they have all said that in the past 2 days, when ALV gets combative, the jury is visibly showing irritation. Lots of deep sighs, fidgeting & very, very little note taking. I have also heard that ALV brings a little cheering section w/ her to court every day...seems so weird for an "expert" witness to do that!

Yeah, they rub her shoulders and pump her up like a prizefighter going into a boxing ring.
When they go to recess, she gets off the stand and her team is all, "You did great. Your answers are awesome. Good job." and hugs all around.
She's just all kinds of professional.

Is it me or the expert comes across as only women can be abused and only men can be the abuser.
I bet while using her expertise on a battered woman she would never admonish her about stating that "her husband was the worst thing that happened to her "
But Travis texting that he is abusive. I hope and pray after this trial is over that this expert's career is over and the only job she can find is at a Jiffy Lube.
