I think one of the most upsetting part of the testimony was the jury question that said: "On the one side we have demeaning multiple verbal slurs, a slap, a shove, a choke hold, and a lunge perpetrated on Jodi. On the other we have a gun shot to the head, a 4 inch deep slit throat and close to 30 stab wounds delivered by Jodi to Travis. Is not the perpetrator of the greatest domestic violence Jodi?"

ALV's response: "NO."

I was floored, and I could only hope the jurors were as shocked, baffled, and indignant as I was.

When I heard that question, I thought, "Great! They got her now!" and when she answered, "No" , I think my jaw dropped to my chest! THAT answer, I think, robbed her of all credibility.

Wait, wait, wait. Hold the phone. Is this woman serioulsy saying that what Travis did to Jodi was *worse* than what Jodie did to Travis??? AYFKM? What planet is she from? Especially if she expects people to believe that. Oh. My. Gawd.

My point exactly! OMG, what alternate universe is ALV living in? I've grown to hate her little smirk when she thinks she has put one over on Martinez.

... so... the woman shot shot, stabbed, decapitated, fed his body to sea turtles or whatever other depraved, sick shit she did... the question is no longer whether or not she did this sick, depraved shit, but if she was driven to it because he beat her up, and said dead man is now being wedged into trial for abuse at the trial of the woman who killed him?

This is a criminal trial? I don't understand why the fuck she isn't in jail already, are they selling commercial air time for this shit? What the fuck is the judge and jury waiting for, a necromancer to come reanimate the guy so he can give his own zombie testimony?

I do not understand what point this process has wandered to. Either she's guilty or batshit insane and needs a room with beds on the wall, why is this still dragging out?

It is crazy, SG. We are supposed to believe that Jodi Arias was in an abusive relationship with Travis Alexander. They weren't married, they didn't live together. In fact, they lived in different states at the time she murdered him.

He was so abusive that she drove to his state to spend the weekend with him. He was so abusive of her that when he body slammed her on a tile floor, she was able to immediately get up and run to the closet where she knew he had a gun (that nobody else ever knew or heard Travis mention that he had a gun, oh, and btw a gun the same caliber that was used to shoot Travis was stolen 2 weeks prior to the murder from Jodi's grandparents home, which she had visited).

None of it makes sense because most of it is lies. Jodi is in jail. This is a death penalty case. They are taking a long time because it is a death penalty case.

Death penalty or not I wonder if she wasn't some stupid cute chick that will obviously fuck anything to get ahead she'd be worth the media frenzy, even H. H. Holmes with his murder castle that had more kill rooms than a season of Dexter didn't get this much exposure.

They are having a hearing without the jury present right now. It is a defense witness that the defense wants to testify on Jodi's behalf.

He is claiming he can see an outline of a person with a camera in the pupil of Travis's eye whilst he was in the shower. I am confused.

Is it camera wielding ninjas in Travis's bathroom taking his picture? Where could the defense possibly be going with this? Jodi says < that she was taking pictures of Travis in the shower . I would guess it is Jodi.

WOW! Really, Einstein? Thanks for that fascinating demonstration of the reflection in Travis' eye ball. I wouldn't have known that just from the fact that a picture was taken.

Martinez was right...could have been ANYTHING. If the picture was clearer in the lab, then maybe the jury needs to go on a field trip, to the lab. But what he intended to show to the jury was a lot of nothing. It was a massive leap. They clearly are desperate.

And yes, so what, it'll show Jodi taking pictures. Both defense and prosecution know that Jodi was taking pictures. What they were trying to suggest, with this very dubious picture, was that BOTH hands were on the camera, not a knife in one hand....as if that blurb showed that. Maybe the dog didn't have a knife. The knife could have been hidden in her clothes, who knows.

I almost wish they'd let the defense use this.....the jury will go

I pray that we don't get a hung jury...only one person who doesn't want to convict for pre-meditated and she's happy.

pre-meditated...of course. Rental car, gas cans, license upside down, surprise trip....and then her insane lies...3 diff. stories, and we know that the third one (the fog) is all BS as well. The third story is probably closer to the truth...but she's left out the most horrid details due to her fog. Fog, a word we are well-familiar with her on SI.

Oh, and, when ALV was asked about stalking, she was asked about Jodi staring through the window at her ex-boyfriend as he made out with a new girlfriend. She was asked if that was stalking. With a straight face, she said "no". WTF.

Now, I don't know if she was told about Jodi getting into the house through the dog door, and sleeping under his Christmas tree (same night???). I wasn't watching when these details came out...but if ALV KNOWS about that, and still believes Jodi is NOT a stalker, then ALV needs to retire from helping victims of DV.

I saw a ninja kangaroo in boxing gloves. I showed the pic to my SO who said he saw the constellation Orion.

The kangaroo did it!!!

But seriously, as SO said, we could show that blown up image to 10 people and everyone would come to a different conclusion. He did not listen to Martinez, but he said almost verbatim what Martinez said were his issues with the pic:

1) it is a subjective analysis

2) anyone can see anything and think they are right.

3) there is no way to objectively test the findings.

I want to know what was uncovered about ALV in te closed hearing that Marinez referred to today. It was when he was responding to being accused of prosecutoral misconduct and bullying ALV. He said, "Well she should have been upset when we discovered what we did."

What is he talking about?? Will we ever know??

Is it possible that he was referring to the fact that he uncovered that she had NOT testified on behalf of men in TWO criminal cases (trying to get out that she was not a fan of men). She said, in her original testimony that she'd testified on behalf of men in criminal trials "one or two times".

Upon pressing and pressing he finally got it out of her that on one case she did NOT testify, but she wrote a report that was read. She could not remember the other case enough to give any details. Said she forgot. Yet, she claimed in court that she did it one or TWO times. Liar liar pants on fire.

Lauren, that link goes back to March 29. A lot of stuff has happened in the courtroom since then. While Travis may have been emotionally abusive, there is no real evidence that he was physically abusive to the point where she feared for her life. She does not fit the definition of a battered woman, and battered women everywhere think her battered woman defence is an insult.

It's possible.

But this whole thing started back when ALV said something to TA's sister in the courtroom.

Remember back on a Monday (it seems) and there was a long delay getting started? ALV, TA's family, the defense, and the prosecutor were in chambers with the judge. That is what this is about. And whatever was discussed is "sealed."

Something happened between ALV and TA's sister. And apparently Juan Martinez uncovered something during this sealed hearing that has ALV all upset.

Today the judge is meeting with ALV about this "very important issue".

Remember at the end of ALV's testimony and the judge was telling her to come back on Monday or Tuesday? Then ALV rattled on about how she had to take these tests? (I think referring to her ER visit) The judges response was, "I don't care to hear about your personal problems. You're still under suppena." (so you need to be here)

Did anyone catch ALV last week when she started to say during testimony that she didn't have a very good retirement....?

WTF

While Travis may have been emotionally abusive

Maybe he was, maybe not. I, however, believe my point that I posted earlier that ALV doesn't know the difference between anger and abuse.

I know I have said some very crappy things when angered. I know a lot of people that have said crappy "emotionally abusive" stuff whilst angry, but they aren't emotionally abusive people. If those instances were I said some crap things were singled out, I would imagine someone could call me "emotionally abusive".
