I'm reading Crime and Punishment. I was invited to join a book club, but went to the last two meetings without having read the book. They are going to kill me if I don't read this one.

I like Sylvia Browne's books. They just make me feel good inside.
Since my nervous breakdown I really don't remember (retain) anything I read so I have to read things 2 and 3 times kinda weird. But atleast I read.
There are degrees to which you let people back into your life and degrees to which you let them back into your heart-which, of course, are not the same thing

Currently reading Blue Nights by Joan Didion.
Just finished Every Last One by Anna Quindlan.
Both are amazing.

I just finished rereading The Hunger Games trilogy for the 50th time last night.
This morning I managed to read The Law of Nines by Terry Goodkind (again) before noon.
I'm not sure what I'll spend the rest of my day reading... James Patterson maybe.

I just finished One day by David Nicholls, my brother asked me if I had read it a while ago, he said that it was very popular in England, then he bought it and sent it to me.
I am glad he did. I might not have picked this book up myself but I enjoyed it.

The Perfectionists ended up being very good. While I never did like any of the characters, I did empathize with all of them in some way which was really the point of the novel.
Now reading Chris Bohjalian's The Night Strangers which is part The Shining, part Salem's Lot with a little Rosemary's Baby thrown in for good measure. It's a very different genre for Bohjalian, but it's good so far.

You're in the wrong book club! The best one I was ever in met at a wine bar: we brought all our old books, dumped them on a table, and chatted about our lives over wine. If anyone wanted to take a book, they could ask the donor if it was any good.
One day a new woman came to our club and wanted to give a REPORT on the book she just read. Had to tell her, gently, we didn't do that.

My SIL's book club does hot tubs and wine. I told her mine is not as much fun, we actually read and discuss the books
