I'm lumbering my way through King's 11/22/63. Wish I could say I'm enjoying it.
In the meantime, I started reading State of Wonder by Ann Patchett (love her). So far, it's intriguing.
Also reading The Coral Sea by Patti Smith about her relationship with artist Robert Mapplethorpe. Having lost a friend recently, this book is speaking my soul.
She packed up her potential and all she had learned and headed out to change a few things.

Hope, haven't read "The Coral Sea," but did read "Just Kids" by Patti Smith and really enjoyed it. Would definitely recommend it to you.

I'm currently re-reading both Ethan Frome and The Shining. I'm going to tie them together for a lesson plan.
I'm on the waiting list for Gone Girl at the library; I'm looking forward to that!

I've just started "Maggie - Now" by Betty Smith, the author of "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn." So far, not bad.

I also read White Girl Problems by Babs Winkler, Shanghai Girls by Lisa See and The Perks of being a Wallflower.
eta: I was just given a copy of Fifty Shades to read, my golf group is also kind of like my book club.

I just finished re-reading all of the Outlander series yet again. I usually read it once a year.
I will confess that I've been in love with Jamie since I was 11, lol...but as an adult, I saw more of his (and Frank's) asshole-ishness, but Jamie is still my baby.

WH#2 (SorryinSac)- Killed himself (May 2015) in our home 6 days after being served divorce docs.
XWH #1 - legally married 18yrs. 12+ OW (that I know of).

I just finished reading the Hunger Games trilogy for about the 4th or 5th time.
My son has started me on "Storm Front (The Dresden Files, Book 1)" by Jim Butcher. It's okay -- a little lighter reading than I'm used to, but keeps my mind from wandering into various pits.
I also enjoyed "Divergent" and "Insurgent" by Veronica Roth and am eagerly awaiting the third book, but it may be awhile. Like a year. 
Reading is my main "escape" from reality -- which is majorly sucky for the time being.
♥ BW m. 31 years - Divorced in 2009. It's still a month to month financial struggle, with higher income taxes as a single and no retirement parachute since I was a stay at home mom.

Yes, Gaby. I read it as an adult and picked up right away on Jamie's and Frank's assholishness. Jamie's seemed to be tempered with self-deprecation a lot of the time. What specific incidents are you referring to?

Currently reading "Girl Gone" - love it so far and love the way the story is being presented.
Then I must re-read "The Passage" by Justin Cronin to refresh my memory for his upcoming sequel "The Twelve" due to come out in October - CAN.NOT.WAIT!!!

I listened to the audio books, but it was during a kick I was on of reading that kind of post-apocalyptic teen adventure genre (Hunger Games and the like) and all of the stories sort of merge into one in my memory now.
Is that the one where the girl chose a different faction from her family and had to get tough in the violent faction, then there was a war, something about mind control? I can't remember where Insurgent left off. ??

Guilty Wives by James Patterson & David Ellis...probably one of his best co-authored books I've read.
