Well done! That was painful to even read. And yes, I read the entire thread.

Wishing you nothing but the best as you move forward with healing.

View your planned counseling as the afterburn that comes with the thrust out of a shitstorm.

I received a challenge coin from your close peers (who knows, maybe from you) and that small token to you all is one of the highlights of my professional career.

I am sorry that you are here but I am glad you found the site and took to it so quickly. This site did more than the sum of everything else to help me begin to comprehend my wife's shocking betrayal. I am in awe of your ability to take care of yourself and stand by your principles.

The most important lesson for me to learn and understand (and it did not happen fast and is still not done) is that my wife's affair had nothing to do with me. You are no less of a person and you held up your end of your bargain like a champ. I wish you well.

You folks have been a tremendous help to a stranger among you, and I expect will continue to be so.

Edit: Folks, I took down what was here earlier. This morning it just seemed... self-aggrandizing to me. If anyone desires it, I'll PM the creed which I had posted last night. - J

I can't explain it but I think this might be the most patriotic I've ever felt in my life. The fact that you do what you do for this country and that you've clearly bought into these concepts to the point that even great personal tragedy did not sway you from your path is really touching. It makes me proud to have men like you serving and confident that no enemy of ours will ever rest lightly knowing what it is they are facing.

Thank you,

The only hope you have is to accept the fact that your marriage is already dead. The sooner you accept that, the sooner you’ll be able to function as you are supposed to function: without mercy, without fear, without remorse.

Your wife lost a Rolls Royce of a man because of a back-alley rat. She'll regret it for the rest of her life.
