And what of the AP? Punishment for them under some laws are almost equally harsh. But in my case, the AP walks away without giving me or my children a second thought and moved onto the next WS... thus repeating the crime over and over.

Some (not many) states allow a BS to sue an AP for loss of consortium. I think all states should consider allowing a BS to sue an AP for interference with a contract. The AP should make the BS whole again. I also think no fault divorce laws should be amended to allow a BS to avoid paying alimony to a WS. Pay child support, yes; but no alimony.

If you are absent during my struggles, don't expect to be present in my success.

Why is it wrong??..

Well over thousands of years the idea of pair bonding has developed into marriage.. Where two people AGREE to form a partnership that excludes EVERYONE else.. You agree to live a life together.. Raise children together.. Till death do you part...

This arrangement has worked well.. And in modern times if there are any issues with this arrangement then divorce is always an option.. To rescind the original agreement..

Infidelity goes outside this agreement.. One party decides to break the vow of forsaking all others.. They decide to enter into an relationship with another.. Unilaterally.. And they will then lie.. Deceive.. Until discovered.. They break the contract that they WILLINGLY ENTERED Into.. That is why its wrong...

They chose to cheat. To lie.. To deceive.. They could have just left.. Divorced.. Then done what they wanted.. But they didn't want that.. They wanted to have their cake and eat it.. They CHOSE to hurt their partner.. They will say they didn't do it intentionally.. But honestly they knew what they were doing.. And STILL chose to.

So it's wrong partly because it breaks the agreement you entered into when you got married.. But mostly it's wrong because it grievously hurts their partner.. And this is no accident.. Cheating isn't a mistake.. Its a series of choices..you are choosing to hurt someone else... And no matter you lifestyle or religion.. Hurting anyone else is wrong...
