Thank you for the update.

I'm sending prayers your way. Sleep is a good thing right now. Surgery of any kind takes it's toll on the body.

Hi Folks,

Here's another update on my continuing C saga. I have great news and some not so good news in this one. First the great news... ALL the tissue samples sent to the lab after my surgery on 1/6 came back negative, i.e., there was no C detected in them. That calls for a BIG Yippee!!

The not so good news is that the C was so deep (to the bone) they're not 100% sure they got it all. So here's where I'm at in all of this as of now. I've scheduled another appointment with my Oncologist who will most likely put me on a Chemo or Radiation regiment. That appointment is Monday 1/20 so stay tuned for more info.

Last but surly not least... a BIG Thanks to ALL here at SI for your support through this. I really do appreciate it!!!

Each step along the way, it sounds as if you've had more positive than negative. So let's hope the trend continues.

Sending warm hugs and best wishes for Monday.

That's really great news PA.

I know it will be hard to play the waiting game for a little while longer but a chemo or radiation regiment to make sure they have got it all sounds like a good plan to me.

Sending you strong positive vibes for a speedy recovery to full health.

Hello All!!!

This will be my last update on this thread as I just got home from the Oncologists office a couple hours ago & have some awesome news!!! My doc informed me that NO CHEMO & NO RADIATION is needed!!!! He's confident they got *all* the C and putting me on Interferon or nukes may do more harm then good at this point. He also told me that I'll be a C patient for 5 years & a lifetime Dermatology patient... but who cares!!!!! I'm so happy & also feel so blessed I want to do cartwheels!

Here's a BIG THANK YOU to *everyone* on SI for your support though this ordeal. I can't even begin to tell you all how much it's meant to me. Obviously prayer, karma & good thoughts do work and help!!! I know that came from all of you & my family. I will *never* forget that!

Now it's time for me to put this ordeal where it belongs.... in the past. I really do feel I've been given a new lease on life. Someone or something wants me around on this planet for a while longer. I plan on doing my very best to appreciate every moment of this gift I've been given. Where that takes me I don't know... and it really doesn't matter. All that does matter is right *now*, and right now is pretty damn awesome in my book!

Thanks Again,

~ PA53
