I watched a Discovery Channel show once about slugs...and how they figure slugs don't realize they are the bottom of the food chain. They went on to say that Slugs actually think they are all that and a bag of chips....and to other slugs this seems to be true....
Anyway...I watched this show and when it was over I sat there in my undershorts thinking..."but the fuckers are still slugs even if they are delusional about it"....."but then again if a slug wants to call himself a lion...who am I to say he isn't a lion slug?".....
I am pretty sure you have a lion slug on your hands here....I reccomend that you throw a stick and see if she goes away.......
I would not respond other than the stick thing....if that don't work....I guess you will have to consider buying some "Slug be gone" from Home Depot.......

At last week's IC session we were briefly discussing impulsive behavior and he advised me to not do anything that would make me sacrifice the "moral high ground".
My response? "Oh puhhhlleeease! I could turn into a prostitute and develop a penchant for necrophilia and STILL not sacrifice the moral high ground here!"

The life of every man is a diary in which he means to write one story, and writes another; and his humblest hour is when he compares the volume as it is with what he vowed to make it.

To say there does come a point in healing when the hurt becomes a memory only. If I wanted to hurt - I could dig it up, really try to remember it all... and I am sure it would...
Why would I do that.
It is not swept under the rug. It is not buried inside me.
It is a memory - decomposed, buried in the ground - recycling, becoming nutrients for a stable, longer lasting, beautiful garden.

Last month in Wayward,
there was an exellent post that darkbeast made regarding to forgiving self.
I forgave myself a few months ago. I didn't understand that concept and questioned Fallen about it repeatedly. But I heard a sermon from an old preacher and it all made since. Forgiving yourself is saying "It's over, I am going to change". Self hate is accepting to remain the same.
I am fueled by the burning desire to rescue BB from the disaster that I placed her in. I stewed in self hate for a LONG time and it got me nowhere.
If you don't find peace with yourself, you cannot find anywhere else.
Appreciate and cherish what I have.

I find that the most optimistic people are those who aren't in harm's way. When you're being crushed, or the bombs are dropping, you're far less likely to admire the sleek aircraft that are raining them down on you. -Defiance

I think the world could use a whole lot more stuffing of feelings. We used to call that maturity and manners.

Friday at work I witnessed a moment of grace which impacted me...let me share?
One of the workers at my company is out on work release - he takes the bus from jail everyday at 4 am and goes back to jail every night and is locked up all weekend...he has been doing this for 6 months and has another YEAR to go! Friday was his child's birthday...and there in the nasty dirty shop where they clean cars...was a folding table, with a plastic tablecloth, streamers and balloons and presents...so this man could spend an hour with his child on thier birthday.

From ListeningClosely in "BS question for FWS" in I Can Relate.
In response to willthiseverend's question -
Is it common to want to reconcile but take a long time to meet the conditions laid down by the BS?
Accountability and Consequences
Requirements of R have no teeth if there are no consequences for not complying. It's like laws that people consistently disobey because "no one ever gets punished for that". The law says the speed limit is 55, but if folks who do 60 aren't issued tickets the outcome is people break the law.
Likewise, if there is no consequence for staying the the OP, a WS will likely continue to do so until they have an either/or choice.

I liked his speeding ticket analogy.
