Alright I just started reading this too. I actually bought it a week ago but couldn't start because of exams. But now I have been reading it every chance I get.
dday 1- september 06, he was having a three month affair.
dday2- april 1st 2008, six months after oc was born, h finally came clean about everything.
Present day- trying to R again.

I got it the day it was released and have been reading a few pages here and there.
I've managed, some how, to get close to half way.

Is it a good read? I liked DaVinci code, but generally I'm not a huge fiction fan (I keep the nonfiction section of the library stacks circulating, however!)

My humble opinion without giving away any spoilers: the book is a very good read, although I was somewhat disappointed with the ending.

I finally finished it last night. It was good, but not as good as the others.
It had a ton of research and interesting facts and history that I just love. BUT, I was able to put it down without any issues, and I could go days without picking it back up. Neither of which could I do with any of his other books. I was able to guess the outcome of a few mysteries before reading them. The final revelation of the big mystery was a bit flat for me too.

I just read The DC and A&D over the last two weeks and was all ready to purchase LS. Then I started reading the reviews and it has been panned quite heavily.
Most say it does not live up to his others, is predictable, and seems like he is now a 'formula' writer.
I enjoyed the historical premise of the other two and would put the book down, grab my computer to google various things and then go back to reading-so I learned a bit as well. Always a bonus.
I may read it from the history side of things...TBD.

i agree with the others. ok, cool on the histrical/symbolic stuff but not as good as DC or A&D. the end was a let down.

Yeah, the end was extremely anticlimatic.Noetic science kind of seems like the real world version of being a Jedi lol.

I really liked the book a lot...right up until the last 15 pages or so.
But even though I was disappointed in the ending, I'd still recommend the book. I thought it was really interesting and I really had no idea how it was going to end or what was going to happen.
All in all, I liked it.
If you think you are too small to be effective, you have never been in the dark with a mosquito.
If you eat a live toad first thing in the morning, nothing worse can happen for the rest of the day.

I am a little more than 1/2 way through.
I am enjoying it. But I must admit I am a little let down.
I remember reading A&D and DVC and not being able to put them down.
I finished them both in a few days.
I def dont have that "Gotta finish it" feeling with this one.

I've read all of his books, too. I enjoyed Angels and Demons the best, though.
Also, I just finished a book in the same genre by a new author. It's a lightweight Dan Brown-type book, an easy read, and thoroughly enjoyable, IMO.
Library of the Dead by Glenn Cooper. There are two sequels being published next spring, Book of Souls and The Tenth Chamber.

I liked Angels and Demons the best too, but this book was pretty good.
He also wrote a couple other books I didn't see mentioned... Deception Point and Digital Fortress. They are both worth checking out.
When I find an author I like I feel like I have to read ALL their books... I'm a little type A like that.
