I've been on a "James Patterson" bender for quite some time now.....currently reading Along Came a Spider.

Just finished Papillon by Henri Charriere, what an amazing story!
Just started re-reading Margaret George's Memoirs of Cleopatra Guess I'm in a biography mood...
I'm also doing a chapter a week of Karol Ladd's The Power of a Positive Mom it has some great study guides for each chapter.

I often read what my 14 y.o. is reading to have a topic of conversation and to get into her head.
I just finished "The Secret Life of Bees". Also reading "The World Is Flat". Fascinating but slow going.

Right now I am re-readng Daniel Quinn's Ishmael.
Next week I have Fight Club coming in the mail. I will read that (2nd time) for my book club later this month. I also got Chuck Palahniuk's latest novel, Pygmy. Can't wait to read that one.
I am doing a Chuck Palahniuk book club this year so I will be re-reading all his novels. Should be fun. 
12/18/15 found out my now EX boyfriend was trolling CL for underage girls. From the cops. The fun never stops.

I'm reading Lit by Mary Karr. Phenomenal. I want to stay up late and finish it.
Next up: A Cultural History of the Great Depression by Morris Dickstein.

I dare not read a book that is not a textbook right now. The main reason is that I will not put it down to study/review.
But just wait, if all goes well then in another week I will be reading something that is not a textbook. I'll be like a kid in a candy store!

Mercury Falls by Kroese, a very funny novel about the apocalypse.
and
Escape Clause by James O Born, a mystery based in my local area.
both on my Kindle,
Bright Sided on my breaks at work, a book about the unrelenting demand for positivity in America
and Undead and Unreturnable, a sassy urban paranormal piece of fluff. 
from the library. These last 2 are heavy and light.

Good in Bed by Jennifer Wiener. Not what it sounds like. Just finished Best Friends Forever by this author; really good read.
All other reading is Master's degree related; all about Evidence Based Nursing.

reading The Left Behind series. just finished Into the Woods(excellent) and also reading the new SK book. Under the Dome.unlike most Sk's book I'm having a hard time getting into this book.

Yes, I agree with most of the points she is making. That being positive in spite of evidence to the contrary is not always productive, that positivity is an industry unto itself, etc.
That said, negative people in the workplace drive me bat shitty nuts. There will always be demanding and unreasonable "customers" (in our case library patrons). It isn't productive for my fellow workers to bitch about it all the time either.
I guess I'm a little two-faced about it then.
