i need a backdoor number for cingular in rhode island, and how do i get his password. i have tried 2 but was not successful

Our cellphone is the prepaid Virgin Mobile. I noticed on their website that they are using Sprint as their carrier. After failing to use both the 6245 & 8888 as last 4 numbers & talking to local people, hehe, I got through just using the Sprint PCS number JadedMusicWidow initially posted:

Edited: Danger, danger...you can get in the back door this way, but it will show that the voicemail has been looked at and is no longer "new". I watched it poof before me very eyes 
It also showed up on Virgin's online "transactions" as 6245..even though I didn't use those last 4 numbers 
One thing it does do on the phone is report the last time the voicemail was checked. So if you don't normally have heavy phone usage, but you see the voicemail time continually changing, then you've got a clue to go on.

Anyone know Cingular's backdoor number in San Antonio, Texas?
I want to be able to monitor my son's VM for possible drug use and can't seem to make it work.

Did you try calling Cingular? Also, can you set up an online account that you could view?

This is a backdoor number for Nextel in Houston area.
832-731-6245. I am on the account. I called and simply asked for the number, and voila, they gave it to me.

I forgot to mention, WS'snumber was ported over from Verizon. When a number is ported, it may have a different backdoor number than original Nextel numbers.

Questions--what # do you dial for Verizon BD?
The BD # listed for the town where the bill goes (Albany NY) or in the upper left hand corner of the staement, there's an Arizona address OR the area where the phone # is?
Also, looking at the list on page 1, what are the letters next to the BD phone #?

Make sure you hit # before the message ends to keep it as new.
Also, if you turn on the envelope feature it will give you the phone number that left the message.

anyone have the default passcide # for altell?
**I just did the sprint number listed and got through,tried it on my phone #,I don't use a passcode,and it asked for one,I did my last 4 digits,last 4 s s #,etc,it locked me out after the third try.I will try later with the default code and see if that gets me in,if not then my H must have set up a code because I haven't.
anyone with altell experince I want details if you have them(yes I posted that I have sprint,but someone else has altell)
and one more question,on the cell online statement why can't I see incoming calls on the crapping sprint bill and how do I view or see the #'s that texts have been sent to and received from on the sprint page,I swear I want a new phone carrier.

This IS a great thread, but sstill cannot access backdoor # for Verizon Wireless!!!
It's been months now that I either get "the Verizon caller... message" or "non-workling #!! So frustrating!
