I know where we can buy toilet seats that automatically return to the proper position...

I assume that they've got a spring that raises them whenever anyone stands up from sitting, then?

We could just put all the guys at the back of the bus.

Then take the corners really really fast.

That would keep them in line

Guess it is time to slowly make my way down to the bus stop or at least look up the schedule online. A little bit longer and I will be hopping back aboard.

I just jumped back to the first couple pages of this thread....love seeing some of the usernames that have since moved along. Hope they are all doing great!

My most recent comment, above, was more on the order of social commentary. My point was that once we start making assumptions or suggesting actions that favor one group over another, or make assumptions that are separating one segment of the group from the whole, then that's bad.

One way to identify those sorts of statements, and the method that I chose, is to point out that the other viewpoint is equally valid. Depending, of course, upon your measurement criteria for 'equally.'

Being open, authentic, and non-punishing, I would like to mention that the recent jokes about taking over the poker table for quilting, leaving the seat up or down (depending upon your assumption about how the toilet seats operate and what the "correct position" is) smack a bit of entitlement to me right now and are easily turned into "us" vs. "them".

Am I being overly sensitive? Perhaps. Am I reacting to things that aren't there? Again, perhaps.

Time for me to go walkabout!

I'm not smart enough to comprehend what you just said DM, but if xswimmer thinks she's getting her hands on my poker table to knit an afghan, I'm leaving the tiolet seat up permanently.

Listen, my aim isn't that great to begin with, so I'll just use the bathroom on the upper deck.

You know, the one next to the knitting table...

So NO....Dan isn't allowed on the bus.

Mr Craig and I are on a first name basis now

Now all I can envision is a Daniel Craig poster scrolled out across the bed with a tiny hole in the mouth and a cigarette dangling out of the hole.

Please don't tell me you talk to the poster and say stuff like - "was it good for you Mr. Bond?"

OK - I am several years qualified to be on the bus.....but after reading this thread for a while, I'm a little scared!

Also, may I ask.....

What the hell does "Polo" mean?

Maybe I'm not cool enough for this bus!

I'm assuming there is a game of Marco Polo going on. You know, where someone calls out Marco (usually in a pool with their eyes closed) and the rest of you shout out Polo! so you can be found. (While moving around the pool to get away, actually.)
