I agree with you wholeheartedly, Sister. And the times when Travis is so-called "emotionally abusive"? Well, what brought that on? More little stalking games by Jodi probably. The jury hasn't heard about much of her stalking-type behaviour.

Anyone else notice that Arias has not once looked up at the prosecution's witness today - not at all? Is this some kind of a deliberate technique - maybe a way to not give the witness credence?

It made me laugh and laugh

It was SO obvious considering how much attention she paid to Dr. Samuels and LaViolette, that her not showing attention to Dr. Demarte came off glaring!

I have 2 theories; 1 is just as you said, it was a way to not show Dr. Demarte credence, like it didn't phase her at all. My 2nd theory is that she was SEETHING with jealousy. Dr. Demarte is EVERYTHING Jodi isn't; intelligent, beautiful, well spoken, has made something of her life...and the list goes on & on. I really think Jodi sat there all day writing voodoo words against Dr. Demarte in her notebook

Today's testimony was SUCH a breath of fresh air!! A witness who answers questions directly, succinctly and with extreme intelligence. I loved it!

All I know of this I've gleaned from information you all have presented here. That said, I think she is very mental in a particular way:

1. If she wants your attention/support/validation, she lavishes you with almost excessive attention.

1a. If you respond well to her attention, she becomes extremely attached and kiddish with her attentions for you.

1b. If you rebuff her attention, it spurns her into incredible jealousy and rage.

2. If she doesn't want your attention, or you don't fit into her "world view," she simply ignores you - like you're not worth "her" time.

It's a weird combination of solipsism and NPD - NPD on the hand of everyone having to fit her world view, and solipsism in the fact that she has no problem eliminating people who fall into category 1b.

She's guilty as sin, though. I just wanted to weigh in with my observations.

*Mini-vent*

Jane Velez Mitchell drive me CRAZY! But I watch her show to get the continuation of the trial on HLN.

She gives such BAD information. Last night she kept saying she is now "worried" because this prosecution witness has diagnosised Jodi Arias with Boderline PD and the jury now might feel sorry for JA because she has a "mental illness."

I have always understood that there is a difference between personality disorders and mental illnesses. The way I understand this is that personality disorders are ingrained into the psychie and can be managed, but not cured. Catagorizing BPD as a "mental illness" seems to imply that it can be cured.

I Googled it, and it's listed both ways. Now I'm not sure. What is it? Is it a disorder, or a mental illness?

Wilma is struggling today.

Jodi is in awe of Dr. D. She is actually staring at her open mouthed, completely mesmerized. Oh just kidding. She's coloring again.

This is what I hear every time Wilma opens her mouth:

You got a perm, then got in the shower...

You got in the shower...after your perm...

Did you get in the shower...after...your perm...

Your perm...

The shower...

Wilma IS struggling. She's not getting anything over on this witness and it's frustrating her. What I love about the witness is SHE ANSWERS THE DANGED QUESTION WITHOUT GOING OFF ON A TEN-MINUTE TANGENT OR ANECDOTE. OK, I am obviously LaViolette-weary.

Court was cut short, lynn, because Jodi wasn't feeling well.

Not much happened. Wilma keeps trying to show that the prosecution witness isn't experienced enough and is a liar. The defense witness, in my opinion, is coming off very well. She does seem to be young, but she is smart and organized. Doesn't get ruffled at all by Wilma.

What I did find interesting is that Dr. Janeen DeMarte is that she said that Jodi Arias has Borderline Personality Disorder, or at least shows the traits of BPD.

Yes, Dr. DeMarte joins a host of armchair psychologists (including me) who believe Jodi is BPD. And yes, she IS so smart and organized and while appearing a tad nervous, is not at all intimidated by the defence. She knows what she knows and isn’t afraid to say it. Nor is she afraid to contradict Wilma when she gets stuff mixed up (deliberately or otherwise). My daughter is a clinical psychologist and I can see her being the Dr. DeMarte type!

Wilma has already thrown her second, "OMG Martinez, quit picking on me!" face of the day. We're only 30 minutes in.

Craft day must have been cancelled. Arias is actually sitting up and listening. As is Nurmi. I don't think he's sat up straight in his chair this whole trial.

Love how this witness isn't afraid to make Wilma re-ask or rephrase her questions. She is professional. She is polite. What a concept.

Wilma needs to be a little more careful while wearing that microphone....it's picking up every smirk, huff, puff, etc.

Not very professional. What a bag. Yesterday they thought they heard her say "bitch" under her breath.

Is anyone else annoyed--or even appalled--that Arias seems to spend so much of her time apparently drawing? Is that respectful of the court, really? If I were her lawyers, I`d tell her to stick to writing notes on the actual proceedings--because every time I see her drawing, I think, ``Whoops. Another $1,000 towards her defense!`` I guess, though, when you`re gonna spend the rest of your life in jail--and possibly hang--drawing may be one of the only small pleasures left her.

Cheese and crackers, it's still snowing!? My condolences.

I love how Dr. D accidentally let it slip about Jodi stealing his ring and also hiding behind the Christmas tree. Oopsie! Jury got to hear just a smidge more of the creepy behavior Jodi exhibited. Too bad Dr. D didn't get in the bit about the doggie door. Bummer.

Thanks, Aubrie. Cheese 'n crackers is right.

Well, dang, I got my signal back and Nancy Grace is on. There is a little banner running underneath Nancy that said "Expert screams at Defense: I can't analyze Travis he's dead!" Wish I would have seen that.

Did anyone get to see that? Did she really scream? Dr. DeMarte has been so calm. Although, I would want to scream at Wilma, too.
