I don't think one is forth coming. But here's my theory. They are siblings. Inbreeding increases chance of miscarriage and also a reviewer referred to Oedipus. Additionally the original title was "call to blood". Why did they change the title? . That's shocking and taboo enough to freak people out! Any other theories?

Oedipus did not refer to siblings. I am guessing more likely long lost baby given up for adoption by very young mother.

Okay guys, settle down!
I'm still alive. Thank you all for caring, lol.
I'm sorry I haven't updated, I really did not intend to torment my fellow SIers, but I just wasn't in the mood to discuss it...I guess...because I was somewhat...disappointed.
Well, many of you guessed it! But Jana, since you guessed it first, you get the prize: a "Just Friends" date with Ryan:
Okay, here's the deal. Yes, the were biological sibs.
The play was really really good, the actors were great, everything was great, but somehow I had built this up so much in my mind, that I came out of there not even the least bit shocked, and I think this is the reason why: dead_inside got this part of it right
They are siblings. Inbreeding increases chance of miscarriage
but this info was revealed at about 2/3 of the way thru the play, so I was waiting for something even more shocking to occur at the end of the play because I thought the reviews sad that the big reveal came at the end.
So after the reveal of them being sibs, all I could think about was what was coming next, and I came up with something awful, and then when nothing happened I just sat there thinking, what? This is the end? Can't be! There must be something more!
So I told H what ending I had come up with, and he said I should be a playwright.

PPGA - thanks for the update! It would of been cooler if they were vampire siblings or something like transsexual vampire siblings
. That's really less shock value then watching Rocky Horror for the first time.

So do you guys want to know what I came up with?
A little background info here:
The only other characters in the play were the wife's BFF and the H's BFF. The H's BFF was a single guy, lawyer, and he is the one, that, as a favor to the H, got into the sealed adoption records and found out that the H's biological parents were also the wife's parents.
The wife's BFF was single, and always carrying on about what a wonderful relationship her BFF and H had, and how she wished she could find wonderful H like her BFF had, and how she would probably never find a guy that wonderful. Well, being the jaded person that I am, I saw that as a red flag.
Also, the H and W were always trying to set up these two BFF's with each other, but the two BFF's never liked each other that much.
Also, the H's BFF seemed somewhat envious of the H and W's relationship.
So what I came up as the really shocking ending was this: The 2 BFF's were colluding with each other to breakup their friends relationship so the male BFF could be with the wife, and the female BFF could be with the husband. That the couple really were NOT sibs, and the lawyer friend had made up FAKE adoption papers to show the H that they were, knowing that this would break them up. And that right as the sib thing was being revealed to the wife, she found out she was pregnant, and aborted the baby (her last chance to have a child) thinking that she and her H really were sibs.
So, should I be a playwright or what?

As good SIers, we must learn to share.
Yes Tred, I wasn't even that shocked because the H and W did not know they were sibs when they married. Now, if they had known, and got married anyway, then yes, I would have shocked and disgusted.
But H and I talked about it, and we both decided that if we were to find out today, after being together for 35 yrs, and well past childbearing years, that we were sibs, we would not divorce. Are we demented?
What would everyone else do?

Is it pathetic or what ... that we have experienced such horrors in our lives that a married couple who are sibblings...(with miscarriage issues) is not shocking 'enough' for us?
Talk about being deadened to the world!

Your ending is fantastic, ppga. Thanks for finally ending our torture, too.
Something like this actually did happen in the small town FWH grew up in. A man that FWH went to school with met a woman from the next small town over. They started dating and fell in love and moved in together. They were in their 20's. They were finally told that they were half brother and sister by one of the parents who had an affair and that the women was the OC.
They stayed together. As far as I know they are still together, but we don't live in that town anymore and don't follow the gossip.

The plot sounds very similar to an old eighties movies with Matt Dillon called Liars Moon (I think that's the name.). Matt's character falls in love with a girl who may/may not be his half sister due to an affair. She gets pregnant before knowing this and later has an illegal abortion because if it. The movie actually two endings - one where she dies - another where she lives. In the end, they were not siblings.
I can't believe I remembered this movie - I was in love with Matt Dillon back then - that's probably why. Today - I would take Ryan Gosling in a heartbeat - I may be too old for him now though....a girl can dream!
