I'm gonna say 'modern day' but I think I'm a lil outdated...but...

I LOVE Dave Chappelle and Jim Breuer. Like probably the only people outside myself that crack me up.

What about y'all?

I don't know Mitch, but Dave Chappelle is like crazy with his Prince basketball game?

I don't know Lisa Lampanelli except from one HBO thing I watched for 5 mins and Howard Stern.

I'm pretty like liberal and stuff, but I can't take her.

Ditto Jim Gaffigan! Bill Cosby has been a long-time favorite, too; I've thought about taking my son to see him this summer.

Mitch Hedberg (RIP)

Mitch was awesome...one of my favs was Jonathan Winters - some of his old appearances on the Carson show were hilarious.

Ugh! All the fans of Mitch Hedberg, do not see the appeal at all. And, he is even a Minnesota boy, but I just don't enjoy his humor. eta: Maybe it isn't so much his humor that I don't enjoy, but it is his delivery, can't bear to listen to him talk.

Jim Gaffigan, Lewis Black, Kevin Hart, Jim Breuer, Jon Reep, Bill Burr, Kathy Griffin, Kathleen Madigan, Amy Schumer, Aisha Tyler, Aziz Ansari, Russell Peters, Jon Stewart, Greg Behrendt, Dane Cook, Chris Rock, Alonzo Bodden, John Pinette, Louie Anderson, Steven Wright, Ralphie May...........I have to stop. I love comedians.

Mitch might be a generational or culture thing - I found his humor both funny and compelling, sort of like Steven Wright, but not as dry. I'm not a big Gaffigan fan or Rock - but I'm sure they are funny because a lot of people like them. Stewart (and his protege's like Colbert) are hilarious. Comedy is like music I guess, that's why there is such a variety.

Richard Pryor (RIP), Chris Rock, Dave Chappelle, Paul Mooney, Mike Epps, Lisa Lampanelli (her Long Live the Queen HBO special still brings me to tears, Lunelle, Kat Williams before he snapped out, Alex Thomas. Kevin Hart has his moments but he's not consistently funny. The same goes for George Lopez - they're funny, just not on the same level as the ones listed above, IMO.
