We are planning a week at a resort in Jamacia in December. Everything about the resort sounds absolutely fabulous, but I just found out that the beach is topless.

I'm not worried about going topless because of course I will NOT,😬(my saggy boobs are one of my biggest insecurities), but I simply don't know if I could handle the triggers that I know it will cause. And I don't think H will agree to wear a blindfold, lol.

Are all the beaches there topless? I know there are 'family' resorts that probably are not topless, but we want to go to an adults only resort. (We are thinking about Couples Swept Away in Negril).

I have to be honest with you. Aside from the fact that I have a boob insecurity as well and would not be caught topless even if they were facing more north, I still would not be comfortable on a topless beach.

And do you really want to spend your vacation wondering what is going on behind your H's sunglasses? Regardless of marital history, I can't imagine feeling good on vacation when there is a possibility of being surrounded by perkiness!

I think you should continue shopping around for other hotels and/or vacation spots.

My brother got married at Hedonism in Jamaica. Even there they had a nude side and a prude side. But the water slide was on the prude side and everyday around noon there was a nude side parade to the water slide.

I went to the Dominican Republic for my honeymoon and while the beach wasn't topless, the French tourists there took that as more of a suggestion. It was a big deal for about 5 minutes.

I think this is more of a cultural thing.

I have been to Jamaica and Mexico many times, and at both, even at family friendly resorts (we tend to go to the Italian/Spanish owned resorts) there are topless women at the beach.

I also have to say the number of topless women I have seen on these beaches, have great self body image, cause sister most of them got no business walking around topless, if you get my point. I figure you either got one set of parts or the other, it's not a big deal. Sure they are all different and some are prettier than others, but you wouldn't expect him to not look at other womens faces ever again either, as long as he isn't getting pleasure from it, who cares.

AuthenticNow goes to Jamaica quite a bit. She might be able to suggest places. I wouldn't be comfortable either. My poor husband would come home with injuries from closing his eyes while walking and staring at his feet.

Go softly my sweet friend. You will always be a part of who I am.

H and I go to Negril every February.

If you want info, please PM me.

We stay at a lovely private hotel in the middle of the 7 mile beach.

Very, very few topless females in Negril.

One tiny narrow little hotel is nudist, but very discreet.

Cancun resort was topless optional. The few that took "advantage" of full sun exposure were not young, slim and perky. I truly had to look, with discretion of course, to see if they were females or males with extra tissue.

In Jamaica there was a separate beach.

I agree that many people on topless beaches are not the young, perky goddesses that men fantasize about. More often than not they are average, everyday people who are very comfortable with nudity.

Hedonism is very different than the Couples resorts.

We have been to Couples Negril and tried the nude beach years ago. We loved it and prefer it over the regular beach.

We are actually modest people and the comfort level we felt on the nude beach surprised us both. It is liberating and comfortable and not at all sexual. There are people of all shapes and sizes and there is no judgment.

Couples Swept Away doesn't have a nude beach. I don't think many at the Couples resorts go topless on the regular beaches, although they are permitted to. I can't remember seeing even one topless person on the regular beach. I think the people who want to just go to the nude beaches.

You can PM me too if you have any questions! But in my world, the answer to any question regarding Jamaica is always YES!

Also, go to couples.com. It has info about all the couples resorts. Or go onto FB and find the page for each resort. Many people ask specific questions on there.

I am a Couples-phile, can you tell?

DS, you are forever in my heart. Thank you for sharing your beautiful spirit with me. I will always try to live by the example you have set. I love you and miss you every day and am sorry you had to go so soon, it just doesn't seem fair.

Thanks to AN, we're going to Jamaica for our honeymoon. But we're going to Tower Isle in Ocho Rio. The main beach isn't topless, but there is a topless section and there's a nude island... I'm not making any decisions about where I might go until I'm there! I can't gauge my comfort level without being there. From what I've read, most people enjoy the experience and it's worth trying at least once.

Check out the couples forum. TONS of information and they have a search feature so you can find exactly what you're looking for!!

I'll be checking out the facebook page, thanks again AN!!!!

YAY!!! You know, Tower Isle used to be called Couples Ocho Rios, which is where we went on our honeymoon a million years ago! At the time we were not uninhibited enough to venture onto 'the island', but we loved the place and are tempted to go there now as married old farts.

The problem is, we LOVE Couples Negril so much, and love the Negril beaches, so we haven't gone anyplace else since we tried that.

But, we will eventually go back to CTI. We just have to!

I am thrilled that you are going to CTI! You're going to love it. The Jamaicans say, Once you go, you know.

DS, you are forever in my heart. Thank you for sharing your beautiful spirit with me. I will always try to live by the example you have set. I love you and miss you every day and am sorry you had to go so soon, it just doesn't seem fair.
