Arya had to turn back to Winterfell...
I was thinking how easy it would by for Arya to sneak into King's Landing and assassinate Cersei since she can do the disguises now. But that would pretty much ruin the show, because then there couldn't be any grand battle between Daenerys and Cersei.
So yeah, I guess they had to come up with a reason for Arya to stop her trip to King's Landing.

Week two wasn't quite as exciting, but overall, I think they are building up to quite a final conflict.
I think my favorite line of the series is from week one with Arya saying,
"Leave one wolf alive and the sheep are never safe."

No one changes unless they want to. Not if you beg them. Not if you shame them. Not if you use reason, emotion, or tough love. There is only one thing that makes someone change: their own realization that they need to.

Yeah. That one didn't suck at all. The attack on the supply train was awesome. And the Arya / Brienne scene was very cool.

I think we are seeing the beginning of the end. And it will be so sad when it's all over. What will we watch then? I live for Sundays!!!
And remember Murphy is right. Nothing is so bad that it can't get worse!!!

It will be horrible when it's over. But we will probably get the next book about that time. Since the story will likely be a bit different that will be a great way to keep things going.
When it is over might I recommend American Gods? It's not GoT by any stretch but it's a great show.

I loved Anansi Boys as well as American Gods...Neil Gaiman in general really.
The fact that Septon Ray is in American Gods is a plus.

I cannot believe this Sunday's episode is the season finale...WTF???
And, did any one else feel a bit teary eyed last night? Or, think Arya was a tad bit creepy?

That was a holy shit episode. Especially the ending. Night King on a dragon - that's going to be cool.

OMG! I was on the edge of my seat. SO was making fun of me because I was so into it. Even though I knew the scene was coming that last shot was fantastic!

I knew the story scale would be a 'bit' bigger, but last night was off the charts. I really didn't anticipate that last scene, but I should have.
Next week should be the ultimate season ending cliffhanger...

The ice dragon can't breathe fire so I wonder what it will do? Shoot out ice or frost I guess?

The only really good episode so far was when the dragons were unleashed on the Lanister army. Everything else so far has been meh. The storyline has suffered and become rather artificial. Its all focused on regaining the iron throne and defeating dead people without the usual royal intrigue mixed in.
The last episode, #6, was completely off the rails. They were moments away from their end then they luck onto a frozen island. Then the ice solidifies and they are all moments from their end again and here comes Dany on a dragon. All to bring back a dead guy to a queen that probably couldn't care less about some dead army. Take about foolish.
I guess that is what happens when you try to tie together 5 seasons of slow progress into some breakneck final 7 episodes.

Wild final.
Littlefinger's fate was as it should have been.
Glad to see the Starks get a chance to regroup before the real storm hits next season...

So I never had wanted to watch GOT. Since my mother passed away a year ago, I live with my father and he watches GOT. so I sat beside him while he watched the first episodes of season 7. So I watched all 7 season in time to watch the season finale with him! Now I'm hungry for more
started the books yesterday. That will take time, though I'm a very slow reader.
