Right after dday, (and when my husband's head was still in his butt) I tried to explain this exact thing to him. That he risked our marriage and caused a possible "empty chair" situation.
Because we have no children, if we divorced there would be absolutely no reason for us to ever see each other again. It would be like a death. He looked at me in disbelief and didn't get the full scale of that possibility.

ff, I totally get it. The song is perfect for what you were saying. If you haven’t heard it, you should absolutely listen to it. You and anyone who might miss their AP. “Empty Chairs” by Don McClean.
