OK just hopped on due to GI stuff going on with my kid too.... (I will make a post in a bit)

That aside YEAH for the Colorectal surgeon. Yeah for moving forward quickly. Yeah for Laproscopic surgery. Yes this could be a cancer, or it could just be a large colonic polyp that is bleeding and causing issues for him. Get it out and Voila all better.

Please keep us updated on what's going on though.... and Lionne you are going to be interested in my post.

Yes, generally good news. His hemoglobin is trending up while they really don't know why it was happening and where the blood was coming from. It appears it healed. The appendix needs to come out, somewhat urgently due to the risk of rupture but it will have to wait for the cardiologist to okay what drugs and for how long he can stop taking them. The colorectal guy doesn't have a sense that it is cancer but prepared us for a few things that might make the surgery more complicated. It's good to know worse case scenarios.

He has no pain, no discomfort, just whining about not being able to shovel the snow. I told him to relive that activity in his memory.

Thanks everybody, and Tush, yep, keeping track of your DD's saga and holding her in the LIGHT.

LOL Josie! He's fine. The doctor said he'll not be able to lift over 20 lbs 6 weeks after surgery but he can wash dishes and fold all the laundry he wants to.

Still waiting on the word from the cardiologist.

UPDATE. Appendix is out, laproscopically. No complications. Biopsy results in a week.

Blood work is still wonky, hemoglobin much better but RBC and red blood dispersion or something off. Might all be related to the anemia.

Phew!

Glad the surgery was no big deal.

Hope he can behave for the 6 weeks. Remind him a hernia is way more painful and surgery to fix one is even worse.
