Oh boy oh boy oh boy, he will crash soon. That will be cathartic. There's nothing to advice though until that happens. Because this shock+ denial of his ego will end soon... Well we will se how that will unravel...

Now, as to the anger. Anger is a secondary emotion that is the expression of something else, some other feeling that you have inside. This is something you can explore with your IC or on your own. Ultimately, you have to ask yourself "Why?"

Anger is a primary emotion. It is among a set of emotions now called "moral emotions." Anger is a gift when faced with moral transgressions, and can be the basis for action.

Other moral emotions include contempt, disgust and shame.

All things BS's feel.

We now know this thanks to recent research by Jonathan Haidt and the like.

"True character is revealed in the choices a human being makes under pressure. The greater the pressure, the deeper the revelation, the truer the choice to the character's essential nature."

Anger can be 'moral', for example, when it's in response to a crime.

Sometimes it stems from not getting what one wants when one wants it.

Sometimes people substitute anger for shame, fear, or grief.

Sometimes it's a mixture.
