I've been reading mostly easy reads lately. A lot of chic lit. My brain just can't handle some of the non-fiction books that I have that I am dying to read.
Since Jan. 1 I've read
Demon Ex Machina by Julie Kenner
Size 12 Is Not Fat by Meg Cabbot
Size 14 Is Not Fat Either by Meg Cabbot
32AA by Michelle Cunnah
The First Assistant by Clare Naylor and Mimi Hare
Currently reading The Maque of the Black Tulip by Lauren Willig
All have been pretty light and quick reads. The one I'm currently reading will be the "hardest" read out of my list. I read the first book in this series and loved it (The Secret History of the Pink Carnation) so I now have the 2nd and 3rd to read.
I promised myself that my next book will be a non-fiction book. I need to get some of them read so I can pass them on.
So what are you reading right now?

Read the Fever books (four of those) in January.
Am reading Greywalker right now. Having a hard time getting into this book.
Think I might read The Road next.
13 years later...finally healed. Definitely survived and thrived and you can, too.

Just finished "In Search of the Proverbs 31 Man" by Michelle Hammond, and am now reading "Wild at Heart-discovering the secrets of a man's soul" by John Eldredge
Trying to figure out how to be a real man again I guess.
I just started "Wild at Heart" and I am really liking it. Would recommend it to most men that have been put through the ringer by their WW's.

And re-reading

Currently reading an autobiography of a politician (better not say more than that becasue of guidelines).
I have also just bought Three Cups of Tea by Greg Mortenson to read next.

I just finished "The Lost City of Z: A Tale of Deadly Obsession in the Amazon" by David Grann. Great read.
Next on the list is "The Book of Ruth" for my book club.
She packed up her potential and all she had learned and headed out to change a few things.

Chandler,
Do you read Ann Rule? Her books are excellent.
My dad prosecuted murder cases for years (now retired) and had never read her. Needless to say, he wore out my reading chair on his last visit reading as much Ann Rule as possible. The cat was in heaven--my dad let him sit in his lap the whole time.

I'm halfway through The Brothers Karamazov by Fyodor Dostoyevsky.
Think I might read The Road next.
@Punky -- I think I've said this elsewhere, but The Road is great! It's the only book I've ever read in one entire sitting (it took me 3 1/2 hours start to finish).

neh...I loved Three Cups of Tea. I want to read his new book. But I have to finish my huge pile of books first.
rt...It was a bit hard to get into, but it is a really good book. I loved it! I had it for awhile and I read it after I went to the Holocaust Museum. I think the two combined made for a bit quicker read.

No one asks for their life to change, not really. But it does. So, what are we, helpless? Puppets? Nah. The big moments are gonna come, you can't help that. It's what you do afterwards that counts. That's when you find out who you are.
