How does one teach evil?

I always wondered where my students learned evil.

Well, it's a natural gift. I've been inspiring dread and fear for over a decade now.

I started out in science, I have a PhD in biomedical science (looking at the protein chemistry of a certain neurodegenerative disease). To avoid that post doc-post doc-no job-post doc cycle that so many researchers are stuck in, I went to law school instead.

So now I'm an attorney.

I keep one of the major car companies' lines running by ensuring parts get there on time.

Currently teaching kids and adults mixed class, but, in the fall offering classes to Special Needs community.

I bake. And sell the goodies. And use the money for karate equipment. I also make cake mixes for charities that need to travel.

Ha I have started answering the questions with an accent and I get put thru pretty quickly.

My job is Merchandiser. I work for a grower and when the plants are delivered to lawn and garden stores I go into the store, put out the plants in an array that will make everyone want to buy our plants!

I used to be a Teller supv at a bank, but my brain does not work correctly since dday, so my job working with plants is great for me right now!

I grew up in a family business, so waitress, bartender, and bouncer. Yep - all 5'8" and 110 lbs of me... actually I was great at that job. Even the drunkest guy didn't see me as a challenge, but knew if he took a swing or tried to physically move me - the entire bar would be on him :) No one was that drunk or that stupid!

Later in life: American Sign Language Interpreter, and homeschool mom. Now I tutor, and teach small classes, and help prep homeschoolers for college.

I was a children's librarian, then a SAHM- stayed that longer than I meant to because of a special needs kiddo. Facilitated a postpartum support group for a number of years, did some parent education. Now I am 2 years into my doctorate in psychology.

I find it interesting that there are a lot of teachers here! Whether in school or at home.

I work for a fiduciary. We're court appointed to be Trustees, conservators, guardians, etc.

I love hearing about what everyone does and brings to the table here. :)

I also find it "interesting" but I don't think there is any correlation with the actual numbers of teachers or any other profession, to the numbers who would have reason to join this forum.

As I noted in my previous post, I believe blue collar workers are severely under represented on the forum, more because of the nature of their preferences (less likely to enjoy reading lengthy bulletin boards and posting to such boards) whereas teachers are more apt to "like" to read and write.

I'm currently retired. Been remodeling an old house I bought in the mountains 9 months ago. In my previous life I was a corporate VP for a large global financial firm. I specialized in Investment Banking. I miss my old career as I was good at it. But to be able to rebuild something that was long neglected has it rewards also. So I went from a pen to a hammer.

I work as an administrative assistant in the U.S. gubmint for a law enforcement agency (you guess which one, heh). I am currently in training to be a parole officer and am working on my M.S. in criminal justice administration.

Now I'm really starting to feel like an underachiever

Dont! Having a PhD just means I spent WAY too many years in school!

This is true.

I have not really heard even one story where (the poster) was a truck driver.

Have not heard of NoWay but I'm sure I have missed a few truckers and/or blue collar workers who have posted through the years.

I work in HR for a large public utilities company.

I find it interesting that there are a lot of teachers here! Whether in school or at home.

Well, I'm in public relations so I don't DO anything; I just just talk about what other people do and try to nice reporters/bloggers/editors into repeating it to their peeps.
