I also have to remind myself not to post spoilers.

This is tough for me too, though it's been a while since I read the books and can't remember who is supposed to be where at this point. One of the scene's from last night that I had with MrsYop she didn't remember from the books at all. I cannot talk about that conversation as it will totally be a spoiler. Maybe I can say that there were a lot of close up camera shots going on?

It is really hard to wait a whole freaking week to see another episode.

Rumor has it that the first 4 episodes were leaked? Not that I would know anything abou such things...

And I loved the flashback of Cersei meeting Maggie the Frog. I don't recall many flashbacks on the HBO series before.

I also thought that was great and was surprised to see it. MrsYop didn't remember this from the book either until I told her that the your girl was Cersei.

What a great episode/show.

Love the graphics in here too by the way. I'll have to hang out in here more often.

That would mean a 3 hour binge followed by another month of waiting. I'll stick with weekly episodes.

SPOILER ALERT: DO NOT SEARCH FOR THE FOLLOWING CHARACTER IF YOU DON'T KNOW OF HER.

At this point I have to wonder if Lady Stoneheart will be part of the HBO series. IIRC, she made her first appearance in the epilogue of book three and that scene never made it to the screen. At least not yet.

Way to go, NIK!!

I still haven't seen the first episode of the new season, but I have also wondered about that character you mentioned in your spoiler alert, MH. Pretty major character in the books!

Good job!

True. And that is why I would be disappointed if she does not get scripted in. They have left out other characters that I felt were important to the storyline. But this one would have an impact on on the outcome of future events. Maybe they are saving her for when those events are introduced.

Yeah NIK!

I recorded all the previous seasons on HBO so now I watch some of those during the week waiting for the next episode. I really should get back to the books. I haven't finished book one.

Last night's episode was awesome. I did not expect to see Drogon appear with Daenerys on the terrace. I think it is awesome that they brought back the original actor for Jaqen H'gar to play the kindly man. I'm anxious to see the set for the inside of the House of Black & White.

Since Varys seems to have taken Illyrio's role from A Dance with Dragons as Tyrion's escort out of Pentos, I wonder if he will continue on Tyrion's journey once they reach the Rhoyne.

I just read the description for the next episode and it appears HBO has eliminated the journey down the Rhoyne. The description has Varys and Tyrion already in Volantis.

That's.....interesting, to say the least. Cuts out a large portion of ADWD.

And the introduction of a few more prominent characters as well. I was looking forward to the scene of the journey through the Sorrows. It will be interesting to see how things take shape now.

I am watching for Sunspear or the Water Gardens to show up on the map during the intro. I noticed the sigil of the flayed man is now appearing on Winterfell instead of the smoking ruins.

No kidding! Sansa and Ramsey will make an adorable couple. Janos Slynt deserved what he got. I never liked that guy.

The House of Black & White is a lot like I imagined it on the inside. I felt sorry for Arya, or no one , when she had to make the decision about Needle.

It appears they are accelerating the march on Winterfell with Stannis saying they ride in a fortnight. Three episodes behind us and we still have seen nothing of the Iron Islands and very little of Dorne.

And remember Murphy is right. Nothing is so bad that it can't get worse!!!

Definitely some major shifts from the book this past week. Ramsey and Sansa? Oh dear. At least Jayne will be spared I guess.

I also thought that they cut out the Tyrion/Penny story line. I had to look it up in the timeline and I guess that was after Jorah "found" Tyrion. I liked the Tyrion/Penny dynamic. I wonder if they are still going to cut that out too...

There are currently 5 volumes. You can purchase them as a set using this link which will give SI a couple of pennies in the process.

I cannot see them cutting that part out. But I also thought we would see The Rhoyne. This was one of my favorite story lines in book 5.

I should add. Reading all five books on the Kindle was problematic. Navigation is a bitch if you like to go back and review sections you've already read. The chapters are typically always named after a character except in the table of contents which simply calls them chapter 1, chapter 2, etc. for all of them. At least with the paperbacks it is easier to flip through and find what you are looking for.

Wow did they pack a ton into last night's episode.

Anyone else pick up on who Jon Snow's parents could be from that episode? I think it was even more evident last night vs. spreading out the clues through the books.
